Players that are leaders know when to take calculated risks, they lead by demonstrating confidence, and they are always well prepared for their games. In most sports, there is an official or unofficial leader on virtually any team. Often, the leader is the best player on the team. The star of the team is often the player at the heart of the defense or the heart of the offense. Some of the more famous leaders in sports have included Michael Jordan in basketball and Tom Brady in football. In both of these sports, the best layers on the tem became the team captain, Michael Jordan for the Chicago Bulls, and Tom Brady for the New England Patriots. Tom Brady is perhaps the ultimate example of leadership in sports, he is effective as a play caller, efficient as a quarterback passer, and performs at his highest level when the pressure is on. There have been many examples of players who had all the natural ability in the world, but just couldn't put it together in the big game. Tom Brady is the opposite of this. For natural leaders like Tom Brady, the same actually seems to slow down when the pressure is on, and he only has a handful of plays left to take championship games.
