Sports
Sports is a great combination of competition, athletic activity, and game planning. Athletes that compete in spots may use any one or combination of athletic abilities including speed, strength, flexibility, or endurance for long events. Sports athletes may come in just about any size, from the tiny female rhythmic gymnastics athlete, to the thick and powerful power lifting athlete. Some sports like the discus and pole vault are individual events, while athletic games like water pole and cricket are team events. Some sporting events require their participants to be incredible physical condition, while other events rely more on the mind and hand eye coordination. Only the most well conditioned athletes may compete in events like the marathon. In events like bowling and formula 1 racing, virtually any individual who dedicates himself to the sport could one day become competitive. Sports can also take place in virtually any medium, air, land, water, ice, track, road, rugged terrain, and even in the mountains. In any place in the world where there are physical challenges, athletes will be there to overcome them and eventually excel overcome them.

Some sports with challenging terrains include rock climbing, mountain biking, cross-country running, and paintball. Some sports with friendlier terrains include baseball, rowing, and swimming. There are even sports that are played through the air, including parachuting. Sports are played in natural conditions, as well as man-made stadiums. Some sports that are played in natural conditions include the triathlon. In the triathlon sport, athletes compete in three long segments that include cycling, swimming, and running. In the cycling segment of the triathlon, athletes cycle approximately 40 kilometers on roads. The swimming portion of the triathlon usually takes place over natural bodies of water either along the ocean, or across lakes. In the running leg of the triathlon, athletes usually run between 10 to 15 kilometers over road surfaces.
While some sports occur over natural conditions, other sports take place in stadiums and tracks that were built specifically for that sporting event. Some of these sports include track & field stadiums, track cycling tracks, and water polo pools. In the game of water pole, two teams of 7 players compete in a pool that is 30 meters long, 17 meters wide, and has a depth of 1.8 meters. The pool depth is deep enough that water polo athletes must use their arms and legs to keep themselves afloat while throwing, passing, and catching the water polo ball.
Some sports take place outdoors, while others take place indoors. Outdoor sports include snowboarding, baseball, field hockey, and Australian Rules Football. In Australian Rules Football, the field is oval shaped, and points are scored when the ball is passed directly between the goal posts following a kick, without being touched by another player. Some Indoor Sports include synchronized swimming, rhythmic gymnastics, curling, handball, and body building.
