NFL National Football League
The National Football League, of NFL, is the world's most competitive professional football league. The NFL has two conferences, the American Football Conference (AFC) and the National Football Conference (NFC). The winners of these two football conferences player each other in the league championship. The league championship is called the Super Bowl. To date, the Super Bowl is the most watched event in all sports. SuperBowl.com is the official site of the Super Bowl, and fans can go there to find news, links to the competitive football teams, and history of the big game. Some memorable Super Bowl events include a last second field goal from Adam Vinitieri in the closing moments of Super Bowl XXXVIII. Another historic Super Bowl was the last football play of Super Bowl XXXII. In this game, the Tennessee Titans, down by seven points, made a final drive towards the end zone in the closing moments. On the final play of the game, Steve McNair completed his last pass to wide receiver Kevin Dyson, who lunged for the end zone but came up one yard short. Linebacker Mike Jones made the final tackle on Kevin Dyson as time expired. The memorable moment was Dyson holding the ball just a few feet from the goal line as time expired.

The National Football League is made up of two conferences, with four divisions in each conference. The AFC Conference is made up of the AFC East, AFC North, AFC South, and AFC West. The AFC East teams include the New England Patriots, New York Jets, Buffalo Bills, and Miami Dolphins. The Miami Dolphins were the home team of Dan Marino, who holds NFL records in passing yards, and total passing yards. Dan Marino of the Dolphins is considered one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, with 4,967 career completions, 61,361 passing yards, and 420 touchdown passes. Only Payton Manning of the Indianapolis Colts is expected to challenge Dan Marino for all time quarterback statistics.
The NFL teams of the AFC North include the Baltimore Colts, Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Cleveland Browns. The AFC North teams all have a memorable history, both for their accomplishments on the field, and for their losses. The fans of Baltimore still feel bitter and angry about the loss of their beloved team, the Baltimore Colts. In 1984, the owner of the Baltimore Colts, Robert Irsay, moved the franchise to Indianapolis to the rage of Baltimore fans who loved their home team. Another franchise that felt the painful loss of a home team was the Cleveland Browns. Cleveland, lost their football team in 1995 when Art Modell moved the team to Baltimore, and changed the name of the team to the Baltimore Ravens.
The teams of the AFC South include the Indianapolis Colts, Tennessee Titans, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Houston Texans. In the AFC West, the teams battling for an NFL Championship include the San Diego Chargers, Kansas City Chiefs, Denver Broncos, and Oakland Raiders. The Oakland Raiders are on of the most notorious NFL Franchises, with their all black uniforms, and players of questionable moral and legal backgrounds. While other NFL National Football League teams have shied away from players like Randy Moss, the Raiders have embraced them.
