New England Patriots | Football
The New England Patriots of professional football are a three time Super Bowl winning franchise. The New England Patriots have been coached by two of the most famous coaches in NFL history. These two coaches were Bill Parcels who made it to the Super Bowl three times and won twice, and Bill Belches, who has coached 6 Super Bowl Teams, either as a Defensive Coordinator or as a Head Coach. Bill Parcells won two Super Bowl titles as a head coach of the New York Giants and made a Super Bowl appearance as a head coach of the New England Patriots. Bill Belichick was a defensive coordinator under Parcells for the two Giants Super Bowl championships, again a coordinator under Parcels for Super Bowl XXI when their Patriots lost to the Packers, and a three time Super Bowl Champion as the head coach for the Patriots.

The first Super Bowl Championship marked the most memorable season in New England Patriots history. The season started out with expectations pretty law, with the Patriots coming off of a losing season the year before. At the time, Bill Belichick was an established defensive coordinator, with an impressive defensive record in for the New York Giants, New England Patriots, and the New York Jets. But Belichick had already failed as a head coach for the Cleveland Browns. As a head coach for the Cleveland Browns, Belichick compiled a 26-44 record while having one winning season. During his tenure in Cleveland, Belichick won only one postseason game, beating none other than the New England Patriots, who were head coached by Bill Parcells. After his last season with the Browns, Belichick was fired and subsequently took a job again with Parcells as the defensive coordinator of the Patriots.
In Bill Parcells fourth year as the HC of the patriots, he and Belichick made it to the Super Bowl. Some noteworthy players on this historic New England Patriots Superbowl team included Drew Bledsoe at Quarterback, Terry Glen at wide receiver, Ted Johnson at middle linebacker, Teddy Bruschi also at linebacker, and Curtis Martin. When the season started, the Patriots were masterful at moving the ball on offense, but were giving up huge chunks of yardage and points on defense. But by the end of the season, the defense had gelled under the leadership of Belichick as defensive coordinator. The Patriots then began winning and then kept winning, all the way up to Super Bowl XXXI. The New England Patriots lost Super Bowl XXXI when Bret Farve of the Green Bay Packers led his team to a championship.
The New England Patriots would go on to compete and win Super Bowl XXXVI, Super Bowl XXXVIII, and Super Bowl XXXIX, with Belichick as the head coach of the team all three years. Quarterback Tom Brady led players such as Troy Brown and Ty Law on all three of these championship runs.
Gillette Stadium, home of the Patriots, has also hosted paintball events such as the NPPL Super 7 World Series in July 2006.
