NCPA Charity Events Paintball
There are over 50 paintball leagues in the United States, including the AXBL, Rush Paintball, D's Freeze Series, the Polar Bear Circuit, and the NCPA. The NCPA stands for the National Collegiate Paintball Association. This league, perhaps more than any other, devotes part of their energy and resources towards charity, through their various charities and endeavors. The NCPA hosts events that are designed to raise money for scholarships that are to be awarded to paintball players. The NCPA is associated with high school and college paintball teams and have hosted a number of events that are designed to bring scholarships to paintball players to help them pay for college.

In Chippewa Falls Wisconsin, the NCPA will award $5,000 in scholarships as a part of the JT Sports Paintball in the Community Scholarship Program. JT Sports is one of the industry's largest manufacturers of paintball products, with divisions such as Brass Eagle, Stryker, JT Tactical, JT USA, WGP Paintball, Viewloader. The Paintball in the Community Scholarship Program was created to give players who have shined in the sport a chance to further their education after high school. Players eligible for these scholarships will include college-bound student athletes who have shined in paintball tournaments around their community and nationally, and represented the sport admirably. To compete for the Paintball in the Community Scholarship, players can print applications from the JT Sports or NCPA websites.
Applications must be submitted by April 30th, 2007. Paintball players who will be considered for scholarships must have achieved not only in the sport of paintball but also academically and in other areas of their lives. Additional extra-curricular activities that will be looked upon favorably by JT Sports and the NCPA will include other sporting events participation (football, baseball, soccer, etc.), the National Honor Society, student government, and other services that benefit the student's local community.
Students who apply for NCPA Charity Events Paintball scholarships such as the Paintball in the Community Program must list their experience in competitive paintball as well as experience in other sports and extra-curricular activities. In addition, scholarship hopefuls will also write about their academic achievements and write an essay that describes how their involvement in the paintball industry has expanded its profile and positively affected the game's reputation. Players who play the game safely and honorably will help to inspire the younger generation to play the game and let the sport grow. Players will include in their essay how they will continue to participate in the sport as student athletes and inspire other to support the game.
The NCPA has dozens of additional sponsorship programs for the High School and College Paintball National Championships. The NCPA has the second most members of any paintball league.
