The Razorback gun tower at the top of the tank can swivel 360 degrees, foiling any enemy attempts of the enemy from attacking from behind. The gunner in the shooting tower is protected by a clear mesh, that stops paintballs but allows him to see what is in front of him. In addition to the 3000 Paintballs loaded in its hopper, the gunner has an additional 2,400 pounds stored in pods mounted onto the sides of the tank. These pods can be easily accessed in case the gunner goes through his entire hopper of paint during passionate conflicts. 6 Additional cases of paint are stored in utility cabinets mounted onto the sides of the turrets. These tanks are often used in war inspired theme games that feature generals, executive officers, and loyal soldiers fighting from the sides of a battlefield. Paintball tanks are also sometimes referred to as mechs, or Paintball Armored Vehicles. Paintball tanks come in a variety of sizes, and they may serve a number of different purpose. Some tanks are meant to be fun props that make the game more interesting, while others shoot with enough firepower to be major game breakers. These tanks have been used in a number of major scenario events, including the Battle for Kursk Bearclaw in November 2005, Battle of the Bulge at Outdoor Adventures Maryland, and Operation Ocean tiger at OA Paintball. Medium tanks like the Razorback are built from scratch, but most are re-designed from ATV's or golf carts.
