Paint Mines - Paint Mine
Paintball is one of the fastest growing sports in the United States and around the world. Millions of paintball players step onto the field each week, and paintball is played in for than 60 countries by millions of people of different ages and lifestyles. The sport is a game of elimination where players from an opposing team are knocked out of their game when they are struck by paintball splatter. The origin of the paintball splatter is usually from a paintgun shooting paintball pellets. Other ammo used in certain types of paintball games is paint grenades. Paint grenades work in much the same way as military hand grenades as you can pull a pin and launch it before it detonates. And it is a time delayed device where you pull the pin and have a few seconds to launch the device before it detonates. This is one of the great weapons of second generation paintball, where you do not need to be in the line of site of the enemy to take him down. Their protected bunker has now become a trap as an opponent has lobbed a paint grenade that will detonate in a paint spray. One new element in the unique sport of paintball is the Paint Mines.

Paint Mines are a safe, repeat safe, new weapon adding new dimension to the sport of paintball. A Paint Mine works similar to a military mine in that it detonates from the direct contact of a person stepping over it. While the detonation of a real mine causes a pyrotechnic explosion, a paint mine detonates in the form of a paint spray. If a player becomes covered in paint spray from paint mine, then they are eliminated from the game.
Paint mines are filled with special FX powder or paint. Good quality paint mines can be buried in the ground and be concealed as to be nearly invisible to an opponent. The mine sprayer can be low enough to the ground so as to be easily concealed by brush, leaves, and dirt.
Paint mines, along with paint grenades, add another new dimension to the sport. With new weapons, the things you don't see can be almost as deadly as the things you do see. While a popular tactic in paintball is the full on frontal assault, the enemy may now think twice before running straight at you. The player must now look up for an opposing play, and look down for paint mines.
Paint mines are a new product on the market and can add a lot of fun to games. Some paint mines are constructed with a trip wire that when compressed can cause a detonation spray of liquid paint. When the trip is pulled, a paint detonation sprays out in all directions up to 20 feet. The paint mine is re-usable and can be refilled with liquid paint. The mine can be inserted below ground level.
