Ghillie Suit
The Ghillie Suit is a popular set of clothing for hunters and the paintball sniper. The ghillie suite is designed to make players as invisible as possible while they wait for an opponent to come within range. While camouflage gear and clothing match the natural color of a player's environment, the ghillie suit takes this form of stealth a couple steps further. Even with the natural camouflage colors on the player's uniform, a players goggles, head protection system, marker and body will still be easily detectable unless they are well protected behind some heavy brush. The contours of a player's gun, boots, and mast still represent unnatural shapes against the natural objects in the environment. The ghillie suit consists of camouflage netting that covers nearly every section of a player's body. This natural looking netting covers the rough edges on a players paintball clothing, boots, mark, and gun.

The ghillie suite is a netting the size of a persons body. The suit covers the back and front of a player's body, from over the top of a players head, to over the bottom of a player's boots. The material of the ghillie suit is made of synthetic materials, but to others it resembles the mossy grass growing on the trunks of trees, and the natural brush that a person normally sees in the woods. The thick mesh material that makes up the outer layers of the suit is composed of a netting that is used to tie various lengths of twine, cloth, strips, and anything else useful as 3d camouflage. Unless an opposing player is specifically focused on the player's specific location, the player may blend into the environment as a shrub, bush, or heavy brush. The ghillie is designed as a one piece from head to toe, or it may come as a two piece, with a matching piece for the head. If the player in the suit is able to remain completely still while standing, kneeling, or lying down, he may go undetected for the entire game.
Some players fashion their own ghillie suit using materials that they have available to them, or they may buy them at a commercial outlet. Most ghillie suits run between $75-175, depending on whether it is sold fully made or assembly is required. Additional sections of a ghillie suit can be purchased to go over a player's head, hands, feet, and paintball marker. Special Ops Paintball makes a suite called a Special Ops Action Ghillie. The action ghillie leaves no parts of your body uncovered, making you virtually invisible on the woods ball course. The hoodie on this suit covers every section of your head except for the lens portion of the goggles. The body and hood section of the suit can be put on by wrapping it around the body and Velcroing it securely on. This Velcro technology allows players t put on and take the suit off very quickly.
IMS-Plus makes a suit called Ghillie-Flage that covers ever possible section of a player. The Ghillie-Flage suit is available in various shades of dark and light colors to match the layers environment.
