Running and Gunning is a paintball skill building exercise where players practice shooting while on the move. The skill of running and gunning is important because it allows players the ability to protect themselves while in the open field. In games like speedball and hyperball, players are most vulnerable when they are in the open field. The player who has come out of his bunker is most prone to attack from the opposing team when he is running upright and in plain view. To protect himself, the player must have enough skill to be able to fire quality shots at the enemy as he is running across to the next bunker. Running and gunning one of the more important marker handling skills that make the person a better player. Running and Gunning is an important means of protecting yourself, just as protecting yourself is important in boxing. It is harder for your opponent to shoot you while he is being shot at, and you may be skilled enough to eliminate some of your opponents in the process.

This will let you know where your teammates are, and if your enemy is moving into an attack position.
