Concept Fields
Paintball concept fields are the latest trend in paintball for those wanted to escape from reality and play out the cops and robbers fantasy as adults. Concept fields are paintball fields that have some unified themed events associated with the game, such as World War II, an old ghost town, a castle, or a medieval fort. Concept fields have succeeded in capturing the imagination of players young and old, they allow players to enjoy a fun paintball game with the added adventure of some fantasy theme. In concept fields designed like castles, the idea is usually for one side to try and hold the fort while the other side tries to break through the defenses.

There are many examples of popular concept fields around the US. Just south of Boston, you have Randolph Paintball with concept fields like Helm's Deep. Helm's Deep is an outdoor fortress that one team must try to defend, and where one team must break through the lines of defense. Helm's Deep was a in the movie The Lord of the Rings, the Two Towers. In the movie, the evil forces of Sauron and Saruman unleashed an army against Aragon, Theodon of Rohan, and the soldiers of Rohan. In the movie, the people of Rohan defended the fortress long enough for the cavalry of Rohan to return and save the city. Within the fortress of Helm's Deep, the men under Theoden and Aragorn used courage as their best weapon to save their people and defend the fort against incredible odds. There were a number of central themes associated with this battle of Helon's Deep, bravery, courage, determination, and never giving up.
The concept fields at Randolph Paintball are designed to draw on many of the same fantasy's as displayed in the fictional movie battle. At the Randolph Paintball field section, one group of players must try to hold out the fort while an attacking team tries to make it past the fortress wall. Randolph Paintball has the Helms field among 5 outdoor fields that includes speedball and woodsball. The equipment at Randolph Paintball is well maintained, and the proshop has a good inventory of rental equipment that includes semi-automatic markers. For those showing up at the field improperly dressed, appropriate , and gloves are also available for rental or purchase.
Like , other fields like OSG Paintball have custom designed concept fields where you can have attention grabbing games that you might not enjoy at other rec fields. While OSG paintball does have the familiar speedball and woodsball fields, there are also a set of concept fields that are some of the best in the country. In the castle, paintball knights from within the walls of the fort can get a chance to bravely defend their keep from behind the platforms and towers behind the walls of the castle. The concept fields like the castle have all the beeps and whistle, including a castle gate, castle walls, and even structures for defending within its walls. The games played within the walls of the castle are often similar to the attack and defend games as described in the book Paintball Digest. In the book Rick Sapp describes attack and defend games as games where a defending team must defend a fortification while an attacking team must try to break through the lines of defense and accomplish some objective there. The concept fields at OSG Paintball are some of the best in the country.
has other brilliant concept fields such as the Tombstone, and the Urban Town. The Tombstone field was designed to look like the towns you see in the cowboy and Indians westerns, and the movies like Dirty Harry and John Wayne flicks. The Tombstone has a fully built town with two sets of saloons and buildings on both sides of the street. Just looking at the streets of the tombstone, you can imagine some exciting duels with the enemy team, and some reckless dives behind the building to avoid enemy fire. The concept fields at OSG Paintball are like the real like cops and robbers battles you played as a kid, but with real action and paintball guns.
In addition to the Urban Town, Tombstone, and the Castle, OSG Paintball also has concept fields that include the village. The village is a field of more than 20 structures that include platforms for shooting, lookout towers, shooting towers, and housing structures as good sniper points. OSG paintball is open on the weekdays by reservation only.
