End of Game Signal
The End-of-Game-Signal is the visual or verbal signal telling the players that the paintball games I over. In the case of capture the flat game, the end of Game Signal occurs when the opposing team reaches the flag, and blows the nearby signal. The End-of-Game-Signal is usually in the same place as the Start of Game Signal. In the games where the players blow their own whistles to start their matches, the whistles are blown near their own flag stations. After the whistle is blown, they leave it in plain view and attack up the field. When an opposing team reaches the flag on the other side, they blow the whistle signaling the end of the game.

A game is ended where and when it started. In most cases, the referee makes the call yelling "Game Over"! or "Barrel Plugs In!". When a referee shouts "Barrel Plugs In.", it means that all players must cover up their paintball gun barrels with barrel plugs. The barrel plugs will keep their paintguns from firing and possibly injuring someone. Visual signals are sued in games with hearing impaired individuals. One popular visual End of Game Signal is a repeat of the holding up and dropping of a white flag that symbolizes the start of the game. Another popular signal is a rising of both hands and then waving them back and forth. All important game signals are explained by the referees or field operators, or discussed among players prior to the start of the game.

The paintball game usually ends for one of two reasons, the opposing team captures the other team's flag, or time has expired in the match. Time limits are imposed in games like speedball. When time has expired, the game is often declared a draw on the scores may be tabulated based on the number of objectives each team has successfully completed. In scenario games, team generals are instructed to lead his men to successfully complete a number of team objectives.
