Player's Area
A players' area is any section of a paintball field or complex where players are supposed to be free to take their goggles off. If a players' area is near any of the complex playing fields, then the fields should be surrounded by a barrier netting on all sides. All playes in the players' area are expected to have a barrel bag or their marker if they bring their gun with them. The players' area may include the spectator bleachers, snack/refreshments area, fan bleachers, or vendor area. Some manufacturers you may see in the vendor area may include WdP (Angel), Mantis, RP Scherer, Cobra, Battlepoint, Armotec, and Hammerhead.

Field operators, referees, and officials do everything they can to make sure that the player's area is safe and secure. The players themselves are expected to police the area as well. If you see a player with a marker that isn't covered, speak up to let him know what the right thing to do is. If you see a player in a non-secure area without his head protection system in place, say "Goggles On!" If players continue to disobey the safety rules, let the referees of field officials know what is going on. These are important safety rules for fields such as Xtreme Paintball Park www.xtremepaintballmark.com, Wolverine Paintball in Hendersonville North Carolina, and East Side Paintball II in N. Dartmouth Massachusetts.
There are two many safety rules to mention in this one article, but every rule comes after the first one: keep your goggles on unless you are in an area that you know is a safe zone. The goggles on rule applies to the shooting range, chronograph area, and next to a field that is not surrounded by barrier netting. A player is expected to keep his mask on even if the game is over. Anything can happen on the field, someone could pull the trigger accidentally, and paintball does travel fast enough to cause irreparable damage to your eyes. Unless the game is over and you can see that every player has a barrel bag over the marker, keep the mask on.
Always look out for your eyes, and wear your goggles unless you feel 100% sure that you are safe. There are many excellent eye protection systems available, including the JT USA Proteus, Extreme Rage X-Ray Protector, PCS 20/20 Urban, Extreme Rage 20/20 Goggle, Extreme Rage 20/20 Echo, and Proto.
The Proto Axis is fully engineered to give you a clean view of the field through all weather conditions. The Axis Goggle System is an innovative protection system that is specifically designed for competitive tournament skirmishes. The Axis system features the new patented technology of multi directional renting and tri-molding. The triodal lens gives you such a clean view of the field that you almost forget that it's there. This is a very low profile lens that will keep your face and eyes safe.
