Cradles and Drop Forwards
Cradles and Drop Forwards are two terms that players often read about in paintball magazines and gun review websites, but not everyone understands exactly what they are. Sometimes they terms drop forwards and cradles are used interchangeably. Some examples of these marker accessories include the Large Drop Forward from 32 Degrees and the Endo Cradle from Centerflag. A drop forward allows an air tank to be mounted lower and more frontward that in a bottom-line setup. These parts are sometimes used so that players can get a more comfortable hold on their marker. Without the drop forward, players are sometimes unhappy with the way the air tanks get in the way of their grip. Some cradles allow players the ability to move their tanks 3 inches down and 4 inches forward. Some drop forwards also have On/Off capabilities. Many players prefer drop forwards because it gives the entire marker system a much smaller profile by making it much more compact. And the drop forwards make it easier to get closer to the sights on markers that use sight/scope technology. Some suitable Drop Forwards include the Flame Drop Forward from Custom Products, Flatline Drop System from Datapimp Paintball Products, and Short Bullet Drop Forward from Dead On Paintball.

Drop Forwards aid players in a number of ways when it comes to making the ability to aim and fire their marker more comfortable. Drop Forwards like Empire Gladiator Cradle help to balance the weight of the marker setup, especially with heavier tanks that can push too much weight to one side without this drop forward technology. The more balanced the marker system is in terms of weight, the easier the marker will be to hold and the less energy it will take out of the player. Cradles and Drop Forwards vary greatly in size and shape, but they all serve the purpose of making the marker easier to hold and fire. Some popular drop forward items include the Blunt Micro Drop Forward from Hybrid Technologies, the Lady Drop Forward from Knock Out Paintball Products, and the Max Flow Drop Forward from New Designz.
The New Designz Max Flow Drop Forward has a 2 inch drop and it brings the tank 4.75 inches forward. This is an exceptional drop forward for the bottom-line max flo regulator, so you won't need to use that mini stock drop that comes with your Impulse, Shocker, or other semi marker. Players that use cradles and drop forwards like the Max Flow Drop Forward and the Check It Products Super Speedy Drop Forward like the ability they have to bring the tank closer to their shoulder so they can play tighter. These products give players the ability to play tighter and bring the marker closer to their body and down to eye level. Players that use drop forward technology want a product that makes their marker look good and is sturdy and solid once mounted. The Pivotal Drop Forward from Category 5 Products and the Tsunami Adjustable Drop Forward from Aim Paintball both give users the ability to line up their markers closer to eye level as they shoot. The Tsunami Adjustable Drop Forward is constructed using the highest quality anodizing and is engineered with a super compact shape.
