Low-End Electronic Markers
Electronic markers and mechanical markers are both semi-automatic paintball guns that offer players a rate of fire in excess of 10 rounds a second at medium to long range. Both electronic markers and mechanicals will fire at least one paintball for each pull of the trigger. Some of the differences pertain to the number of components included in the interior of the gun. Electronic markers have components such as anti-chop eyes, custom front regulators, game timers, shot counters, and firing rates up to 25 paintballs per second. Electronic markers have features such as LCD screens, LED screens, circuit boards, and batteries to power these types of machines. Mechanical markers require more energy to pull the trigger, but they are often easier to care for compared to electronic markers. Some readily available mechanical markers include the Minimag from Airgun Designs, GX-4 Chaos from ANS, and Series 5 from Chipley Custom Machine.
In the electronic category, players have had fun with the Felon from ACI, Mongoose II Reincarnation LCD from Diablo, Tetra from JT, and Silver Bullet LED from Psycho Ballistics. The Silver Bullet LED is listed in the category of low-end electronic markers, but offers an excellent performance and a long list of excellent components. The Silver Bullet LED has a rear velocity adjuster with lock, performance enhancing ball detent, custom milling and anodizing, quick disconnect pin, custom sight rail, and can fire close to 15 shots per second. Other low-end electronic markers include the Speedster SE Alpha from Pro Toyz, US-5 Electronic from Pursuit Combat Systems, and Trident from Scenario Dreams. The Trident is a special purpose machine that is used in military simulation games and themed scenario games. The Trident is a three barreled paintball gun that can be mounted onto stationary objects like castle towers or on vehicles such as a paintball tank. The Trident is a three barreled gun with a triple hopper, and can fire up to 45 paintballs per second from all three barrels. The Scenario Dreams Trident is a unique low-end electronic marker that is a specialty item in military simulation games. Markers such as the Misfit from Syndicate and Surge Bonez LCD are used for speedball tournament circuits.

High-end electronic markers and low-end electronic markers are the two types of machines that use electronic technology. The Rainmaker from Brass Eagle, G7 Angel from Cobra, and Demon Matrix from Demon Guns are often listed as high-end electronic markers. The ZAP Amp Transformer, Viewloader Maxis E6, and Raven Nexion are often listed as low-end electronic markers. The Nexion has a stainless steel hard line hose, compatibility with CO2 and compressed air, anti-double feed, adjustable trigger pull, and aluminum blade trigger. Other low-end electronic markers include the AK47 from Real Action Paintball.
