High-End Electronic Markers
 |
High-end electronic markers are the machines of choice for speedball tournament circuits such as the DPL, CXBL, EXL, NXL, PSP, and NPPL championships. High-end electronic markers are battery powered, are designed to have a low profile, and have a rapid rate of fire. High-end electronic markers usually are available with components such as game timers, shot counters, circuit boards, LCD screens, LED screens, 2K4 boards, and PSI gauges. Electronic markers usually fall into one of two categories: low-end electronic markers and high-end electronic markers. Low-end electronic markers are usually a little heavier and have a slightly slower rate of fire. Low-end electronic markers are usually a little less expensive than high-end electronic markers. Some popular low-end electros include the Rebel O2 Bottom-line Electronic from 32 Degrees, Toro from Araikon, Mongoose II BBS LCD with Eyes from Diablo, and Quadra from JT. The JT Quadra is a fully programmable electronic marker with a quick strip pin, Tritouch three way adjustable trigger, adjustable ball stops, and a Delrin anti-chop bolt.
Most tournament players in the upper levels use high-end electronic markers. Some high-end electronic markers include the Custom Tequila Matrix from Aardvark, Blitz Aphix from Aim Paintball, and Excaliber from AKA. Standard features within the Excaliber include a circuit board that accepts ball breech sensors, adjustable low pressure pneumatics, bolt open time, adjustable rate of fire, and adjustable trigger. Additional high-end machines include the Bob Long 2K5 Intimidator and the Bob Long A-Bomb Intimidator. The A-Bomb Intimidator is one of the most loaded machines available, with high-end features such as a 300 psi gauge, atomix logo milling, anti-chop eye, torpedo regulator, game timer, and incredible rate of fire at up to 25 paintballs a second. The A-Bomb Intimidator is one of the lightest paintball guns in the industry and an eye catching milling. The A-Bomb was a custom-made paintgun that was inspired and created by the Atomix Factory Team.

For players and teams at the amateur, semi-pro, and professional level, competitive teams usually count on high-end electronic markers to go into battle. Some machines that championship players have used have included the Ultimate Disruptor from Disruptive Paintball, and Disruptor Pro-Cut MQV from Disruptive Paintball. The Disruptor Pro-Cut MQV is short and compact for tournament players on the run or behind skinny bunkers where they must keep a low profile. The Disruptor has the precision and accuracy of an Autococker and shoots at a remarkably fast rate of fire.
Three additional high-end electronic markers include the E-Paintball Outlet RJR (Rat Jr.), Evil Pimp, and Game Face Thunder Impulse. The Thunder Impulse is equipped with a custom center feed port and blade trigger.
