Night Vision Monoculars
Night vision technology enables paintball players to see in dark environments. Night vision goggles allow players the ability to see their environment, without their opponents seeing them. Night vision goggles multiply what little light there is in the night environment thousands of times, giving them a field of view that allows them to move comfortable through various terrain without stumbling or balling. Night vision products work very differently from products like a flashlight. With a flashlight, a person illuminates an area in front of him in order for him to find what he is looking for. But with night vision technology, a person is able to see the environment without emitting any like of his own. This technology allows a soldier or paintball player to see his target without being seen. An operator uses this stealth technology to see at night with either passive goggles, or active goggles. Passive goggles, the goggles multiply the light that is already in the environment thousands of times. Active goggles, infrared light is emitted from the goggles and images from the reflected light are sent back to the goggles. The infrared light that is emitted from active goggles will not be visible to your opponents.
Night vision goggles are mounted over a paintball players mask so that he can move stealth like through his environment. They can be mounted over a players head protection system so that they will stay on their own and the paintball player will not have to hold them. These goggles usually mount over the front of each eye like mounted binoculars. Most night vision goggles available for paintball use active technology, and are equipped with an infrared illuminator (Infrared flashlight). The illuminated light coming from the night vision monoculars or binoculars can only be seen through a night vision device. Your night vision monoculars will make many of the objects in your field of vision visible, but not everything. Your night vision monoculars adjusts to the brightest objects in the environment and leaves shadows less visible. Your right vision monoculars allow you to see the biggest objects in the environment and penetrates some of the shadows, allowing you to see all the important elements.

When a scenario or night paintball player is searching for night vision technology, his three main choices include night vision goggles, night vision monoculars, and night vision scopes and sights. Night vision goggles have two eye pieces mounted over the lens of the face mask. While this technology does allow players to have an illuminated night environment, depth perception can sometimes be a problem with this technology. Most night vision goggles do not have the ability to zoom in and out the way your eyes naturally do when you usually navigate your environment. With the zoom-less goggles around both eyes, players can sometimes get disoriented. A night vision monocular can be mounted over one eye in front of your mask lens. With these night vision monoculars, you will have one eye with its normal depth perception, and one to see your opponent and sneak up on him. US Night Vision, makes a monocular called US Night Vision NV-14.
