Night Vision Goggles. If you are interested in truly playing out the navy seal, army rangers, military specials forces night raid scenario, then night vision goggles are the way to go. Night vision goggles offer your eyes a constant lit up field of vision, rather than having to keep looking out and back into the eyepiece of your night vision scope. There are a number of positives and negatives to the use of night vision goggles. On the positive side, you have a constant visual of the terrain in front of you, lit up and in full detail. On the negative side, night vision goggles are not self adjusting the way your eyes naturally are, and you are pretty much stuck with this zoom setting you have when you put the goggles on. With night vision scopes, you have the ability to adjust the zoom feature on the scope, and to see near and far when needed.
Night Vision Sights & Scopes. While night vision goggles offer a single zoom setting, Night Vision Scopes & Sights allow you to change zoom magnification while scanning terrains and the field of battle. If you are making a sweep of the immediate area, then you can lower your zoom magnification and catch an enemy soldier hovering just around the corner.
Other night vision weapons include glow in the Dark Paintballs. Glow in the Dark paintballs can be seen by the naked eye as they fly through the air. These glowing paintballs allow you to track the path of your shots and refine your aim for a final lethal shot. Glow in the dark Paintballs are legal on some paintball fields and illegal in others.
Paintball flashlights are another popular product used in night paintball competition. The flashlight is mounted over the paintguns weaver rail. Paintball Flashlights illuminate the field they player is pointing at and is excellent at finding enemy opponents within range of the light. As with other night illuminators, there are pluses and minuses to the technology. While paintball flashlights allow you to locate and fire at the opposition, you are easily giving your vision away. Night vision goggles and night vision scopes do not emit any light themselves as opposed to paintball flashlights that emit light visible to the naked eye. Some great paintball flashlights on the market include the Springfield XMC TAC Light, and the Insight M3-LED Tactical ILLUMINATOR from Weaver.
