Extra Things to Bring to a Paintball Field
While the essential items to bring to the paintball field will always include the paintball gun, hopper, tank, and good attitude, there are several additional things to bring. Extra things to bring to a paintball field include products to keep your body hydrated, tools to fix your machines if they drop in performance, and extra layers of clothing for protection and the weather elements. Also you may want to consider bringing your own paint if you are unsure of the quality or size of the products that will be made available at the local Proshop. The paint available at the field store may under-perform, be over priced, or may not fit the size of your paintball gun barrel. To make sure that you will have the right paint that you need, you may want to buy your own and bring it to the field on game day. Some excellent brands of paintballs include Xtreme Boolets Paintballs from ANS, Sterling Pro Paintballs from Arrow Precision, and Engage Paintballs from Empire.
When you think of paintball essentials to bring to the field on game day, you think of your paintball gun, ammo and air power. Try to bring everything that you will possibly need because renting equipment will cost more in the long run if you are a regular player.

Always remember to bring your paintball mask, the one item you won't be able to live (or at least see) without. You will need a head protection system specifically designed for the sport of paintball. Several goggle manufacturers include Dye Empire, and Extreme Rage. Extreme makes several goggle masks that will keep your eyes well protected, including the X-Ray Thermal Goggles, X-Ray Single Goggles, and 20/20 Echo Mask.
Players are also expected to bring barrel plugs or other barrel blocking devices that meet safety standards. Some effective barrel blocking devices include the Avalon Muzzle Spiker, Flurry Industries Flurry Barrel Condom, and NXe BC4 Elevation Series Barrel Cover. Here are some extra things to bring to a paintball field.
- An electronic paintball hopper or a loader that is at least fast enough to feed your marker paintballs as fast as you can pull the trigger.
- Paintball gun oil made specifically for paintball guns. Some high performance oils include Evil Pus Lubricant, Hater Paintball Hater Sauce, and Gold Cup Gun Oil.
- Extra o-rings. The o-rings on the interior of the marker are among the quickest marker parts to break down through natural wear and tear.
- You should bring some type of hydration system, especially for long games on hot days. The Attack Harness from System X has specific pockets for carrying water bottles.
