World War II - MilSim
World War II was one of the most historic military events in human history. The outcome of World War Ii saw some of the most horrific weapons and casualties that the world had ever seen, and changed the way wars would be fought forever. Some notable military battles during the war included the Battle of Moscow, Operation Barbarossa, and the Battle of the Atlantic. World War Ii is also know for the number of civilian casualties that countries sustained from both sides of the conflict. The allied powers sustained more than 32 million casualties from their civilian population, while over 4 million civilians perished on the Axis Powers sides. These wars were also, affected the way countries and country boundaries look by the time the huge war was over. By the wars end, The Americans, British, Germans, Japan, and Russia worked together to redraw the way the world looked. New countries like Israel, East Germany, West Germany, and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republicans were formed. By the end of the war, the United States and the Soviet Union emerged as the two super powers in the world. Maps all over the world would be redrawn and over 60 million soldiers or civilians would lose their lives before the war's conclusion.
The Allies Vs the Axis. While World War I featured military action mainly on mainland Europe, World War Ii battles were fought on all four corners of the globe. The Allied Powers included the Republic of china, United States, Soviet Union, France and the United Kingdom. The Axis Powers included Japan, Italy, and Germany. Key military leaders of this world war included Winston Churchill of the United States, Joseph Stalin of the Soviet Union, Franklin Roosevelt of the United States, Benito Mussolini of Italy, and Adolph Hitler of Germany.
Adolph Hitler. Adolph Hitler is one of the most influential figures of human history, for better or worse. Adolph Hitler appealed to many German men and young men who despaired from a poor German economy that they attributed to their loss during World War I. Adolph Hitler was elected Chancellor of Germany in 1933 and Fuhrer from 1934 until his self-inflicted death. Adolph Hitler appealed to a struggling middle class and working class, still bitter from the constant bombing that they were still re-building from as a result of World War I. Adolph Hitler picked the Jewish population as a scapegoat, and began capturing and killing Jews after forming the Nazi Party. The Nazi Party was also known as the National Socialist German Workers Party.
Key Players. World War II was truly a worldwide conflict, fought in Africa, mainland Europe, the United Kingdom islands, the Philippines, and the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. Japan and Germany were the two most powerful forces from the Axis Powers. The war began when the Axis powers invaded Poland, which led to France and England declaring war on Germany. Some key military events of the war included the Battle of France, The Battle of Brittan, and Operation Dynamo.
World War II battle like the Balkan Campaign and Operation Uranus are popular military conflicts re-enacted during paintball scenario games.
