Reball - Reballs
A reball is an alternative to a paintball, and is composed of dense foam or light foam. While the clear gel of a paintball is composed of liquid paint, reballs do not have a paint filling. Reballs are reusable paintballs, and are a cheaper alternative to paintballs if you are practicing with your team or on the rec field as a walk on. A reball is approximately the same size as a traditional paintball but one much lighter, allowing for a less painful impact. A reball costs more than a traditional paintball, but reballs will save you money in the long run as you can only use regular paintballs once before you need to buy more of them.
Reballs are sometimes the designated ammo of choice for field owners in indoor paintball fields. Reballs are sometimes the designated ammo in indoor paintball fields where the accumulation of paint from broken paintballs could cause safety problems with the athletes running around. Some paintball venues have fields that are reball only. The reball only fields provide a nice economical alternative for your players that might have trouble keeping up with the expense of repeatedly buying regular paintballs.
The reusable paintball is ideal for tournament and professional teams that practice long hours, and almost daily, and preparing for a professional tournament. Reballs are often used in practice fields and venues where cleanup would be a concern. Reballs are often used in snap shooter games and lower velocity games because of their inability to explode on impact. Traditional games are played with paintballs as the ammunition and shots traveling from 260-295 feet per second. Lower velocity games that use the reball have shots that travel 250 feet per second or below. Lower velocity paintball games that use reballs in venues such as the indoor paintball arena where one player is always at a close range of the enemy, and shooting at someone at a 290 fps velocity could compromise player safety. Reball lower velocity paintballs may be featured in lower velocity games in family events involving young players.

Lower velocity games that feature the Reball are ideal for lower velocity games, also known as low impact games or shooter-tag games. Low Impact Games are popular at portable paintball fields and for entertainment events that feature the young athlete. The low impact game is popular among fathers and mothers looking to provide new fun games for their children, but are averse to the fast and painful impact of a traditional paintball game. These low impact games that feature the Reball have drawn new fans into the sport. As one parent stated after a thrilling afternoon of low impact paintball, "The kids had a blast and were thanking us afterwards all the way home, they certainly want to do it again. Going bowling or to the skating rink will always be their second choice now."
