Lazertag Fields
There are a number of exciting Lazertag fields in the U.S., and abroad. In Inverness, Scotland Taz Paintball www.tazpaintball.co.uk is a huge complex for scenario paintball games, as well as Lazertag. Lazertag is a popular game for a number of reasons. First, it is a game that can be played indoors. In sports like indoor paintball, the bunkers and fields may use much different equipment, but with Lazertag, most of the game gear is the same. Lazertag, like paintball, is a sport where players use guns to eliminate each other. But unlike paintball, players only need to shoot at special sensors on the players, they do not need to hit them with a sometimes painful paintball. Because Lazertag is so safe, it can be played with players of almost any age. Lazertag shots to not sting or leave bruises the way paintball impacts sometimes can. It is also a very clean game, it does not leave a mess on players clothes, or on the ground surfaces. Lazertag fields like Tazball Paintball & Lazertag Arena are sometimes very popular in the summer or the winter, and at both weather extremes. Because players require less gear to participate in Lazertag events, they sometimes prefer outdoor Lazertag fields in the summer, when they don't have to carry heavy paintball gear like a full head protection system, gloves, boots, and long pants and jerseys. Lazertags are not hazardous to the eyes or face or body, so players don't need to wear safety goggles or bulky overalls.
In the United States, Lazertag USA offers games for players of all ages. The format and equipment used in these games offers field owners to design games for small and large groups, as well as for young children also. Lazertag USA is a division of Team Adventure Lazer Ops, and is a great alternative to paintball for families with young children and others who are a little afraid of high velocity paintball projectiles. At Team Adventure Lazer Ops, the games are well thought out, with objective based games and missions for teams to accomplish, rather than having everybody just shooting at each other. While games like total elimination can often be very fun and exciting, it is also fun to play in games that have specific missions to accomplish. With team based objectives, players on teams work together rather than just as individuals, and missions are completed through team work and team play. In some missions, teams will have to cross a dangerous area of the field, rescue one or a group of hostages, and then escort him to a safe zone. Other missions will be to find the sniper on the other team and eliminate him, and other missions will be to rescue a group of "soldiers" from a downed Black Hawk. May of these search and rescue or attach the fort style games are similar to paintball games like Hostage Rescue or attack the fort, only with lazer guns as the weapons of player elimination. These games, with their military style themes, are fantasy games where players imagine that they are fighting as one to use their minds and their bravery to succeed in various missions. When players play in these games, they imagine performing the same acts of selflessness and bravery that past heroes from historic wars did.
