Shooter Tag Games are a collection of sports that use hook & loop balls or have brought new players into the sport that would have otherwise shield away from the game. Shooter Tag Games are a collection of sports that use a lower velocity than in traditional matches that fire .68 caliber rounds. While tournament and professional matches are .68 caliber rounds shooter tag games, use .55 caliber rounds or slower. Shooter tag games that use hook and loop balls can be sued on paintball fields or can be set up for a private birthday party group, a bachelor party, or at a summer picnic at a corporate event.
Hook and loop balls are the latest in a line of shooter tag games. In shooter tag games that feature hook and loop balls, the main three pieces of equipment are a special vest that the balls will stick to, the gun that fires the balls, and the balls themselves. Your equipment and ammo feature a gun and target system where a hook and loop ball is fired from a gas or air gun at a vest worn by an opposing player. The ammo fired from the gas or air gun is spherical with a hook and loop exterior. The hook and loops will stick to the specialized vest of opponents upon impact. Unlike paintball paintballs that explode upon impact, these hook and loop balls can be used again and again. These new shooter tag games have players running around shooting special hook and loop balls that stick to special vests worn by game participants. Other popular games such as these include airsoft, low velocity paintball, milsim, marker ball, bunker ball, snap shooter, quick draw, and even laser tag. Laser tag is a unique tag game because it does not use any impact causing ammo but sensors for laser hits.

The diameter of hook and loop balls is roughly equal to the diameter of a .68 caliber paintball round. While hook and loop paintballs shoot at lower velocities than traditional paint guns, a player's eyes should always be protected. Goggles and a head protection system should still be used as the impact could still cause eye injury. There are still some hook and loop markers that can shoot at over 55 feel per second, such as the Indoor Paintball Simulator.
Paintball and shooter tag games that use hook and loop balls have opened up the sport to new venues of play. As traditional paintball games employ paintballs that explode in a messy impact, the most popular players to play have been the woods and open fields. With these clean games, some new popular venues include yards for parties and corporate events, and indoor arenas.
