XPSL
The XPSL is also known as the Xtreme Paintball SPorts League, and its professional and amateur games are concentrated in California and the west coast. Other U.S. Regional Leagues include the American Extreme Paintball League, the New England Paintball League, and the Global Paintball League. The XPSL is a well sponsored league, with supporters that include Kingpin Paintball, Greg Hastings Tournament Paintball, and Paintball Sports Magazine. The XPSL is a very dynamic league led by second to none event promoters and a very helpful website that is informative to its league players and its fans. The Xtreme Paintball Sports League website, xpsl.com has event information from A to Z. The XPSL website has information for player registration, team registration into the league, and event registration. Players who are in the league can log in to find their team ranking and points value in their most recent major events, and they can check the standings to see how they match up in the seasonal rankings.
In 2007, 5 championship events were scheduled in California and Las Vegas Nevada. The first event will take place from February 16th-18th at the Kern County Fair Grounds in Bakersfield California. The Bakersfield major featured teams like 64 h and Destiny from the Novice Division, and Enigma and Pitch Black in the Intermediate Division. The next event that will take place after that will be in San Bernardino California. The XPSL San Bernardino event will take place at the Nos Events Center. The NOS Events Center is also known as the National Orange Show Event Center .
The NOS Events Center is a multidimensional sports complex that is fully equipped to host players and fans for major paintball events as well as other entertainment spectacles. Some of the highlites of 2007 at the NOS include the National Orange Show Festival, major concerts from bands such as Avril Lavigne, Weekly BMX Racing, and heart pumping Horseracing. The NOS has a sports center that covers over 50,000 square feet with giant screens and sports bars.
The 2007 event major in San Bernardino Ca will feature matches from four divisions: the Young Guns 3-man, Rookie 7-man, Intermediate 7-man, and Novice 7-man. Players can go online to register for these events. Some teams that will compete in these events will include the Cutthroats from the Young Guns 3-man, and the Arizona Predators from the Rookie 7-man. The roster of the Arizona Predators include among others Kevin Matthews, Dean Torio, Daniel Ling, and Jon Jarrel.
The XPSL is sponsored by teams such as Mighty Paintball, XO Industries, and Alien Paintball. The final events of the year will take place in San Jose in July, Fresno California in early September, and Southern Cal/Vegas in November.
