World Paintball League - Xtreme Paintball
Do you have what it takes? That is one of the slogans of the World Paintball league. The World Paintball league is also known as the Ultimate Arena Paintball League, or UAPL. The UAPL colors are red and blue, and their logo is similar to the MCB logo except it is a white silhouette of a paintball player in action. Paintball is one of the fastest sports in the country, with a growing list of players and fans every year. And paintball on television has long been hailed as the next big breakthrough in the game. The fundamental idea was the if paintball could attract a national television contract and a loyal viewer following, the world paintball league could dramatically increase the number of players and greater number means both revenue and political clout. The world paintball league was one of the first leagues to land a regular TV contract, and they are now broadcast every Saturday and Sunday on the Superstation WGN. UAPL games are broadcast every Saturday at 6p/et and every Sunday at 1am EST. Also, Dish Network viewers can see UAPL games on channel 239 and Direct TV viewers can watch players bunker each other on channel 307.

There are 24 professional world paintball league teams from 3 conferences. The Eastern Conference has the Tampa Warriors, New England Distortion, New York Shooters, Miami Nemesis, Montreal NRG, Pittsburgh Smoke, Atlanta Strange. The Central Conference sends these teams to paintball battle: The Chicago Resistance, Toronto Mavericks, Houston Rage, Milwaukee Rapture, Dallas Drive, St. Louis Dynamics, Detroit Muscle, and Memphis Blues. The Western Conference has some of the most famous and successful teams in the game, including the LA Hitmen, LA Assassins, Phoenix Arsenal, Las Vegas Gladiators, Portland Naughty Dogs, Sacramento XSV, and San Diego Dynasty. The San Diego Dynasty are a world class program that have brought a lot of attention to the world paintball league. The Dynasty teams are sponsored by national manufacturers such as Smart Parts, Badlander Paintball, PGI and Action Village. Dynasty, through their many tournament wins have begun marketing a number of products under the Dynasty label: a DVD video of Dynasty games, a Dynasty Shocker Board, and hats and jerseys featuring Dynasty logo, brand name, and artwork. Dynasty, on there online website market other marker accessories such as Dynasty Ion Body Kits. The San Diego Dynasty is tied for first in the league to the Memphis Blues, as of January 19th, 2007.
Scorer, Games, tournaments, and league standings go like this. Every week, eight professional teams from around the United States and Canada square off in a single elimination, 3 on 3, paintball tournament. In each round of the tournament, two opposing teams compete in a best of seven game match. The first team to win four games advances to the next round. The playing arena is enclosed with a 50x100 foot metal cage with mesh net.
