TTPL - Tactical Ten Paintball League
The Tactical Ten Paintball League TTPL has come of the most competitive games in the country. There are a number of dedicated teams in this league, including The Undertakers and the MBP Militia. The MBP Militia are led by their captain Tom Bolton, otherwise known as "Noodles the Great". The MBP Militia are a successful Tactical Ten Paintball League team, winning games at events like NJ NAM 2006 at Pyro Paintball Productions Field, and the Zombie Halloween Game at Cousin's Paintball. Some players on the MBP Militia roster include First Lieutenant Mark "Backwoods" Bolton, Mike "Mahogany" Monaghan, and Chris "Satchmo" Whitsell. The MBP Militia and other teams in the TTPL League are dedicated to the paintball discipline of woods ball. Players drawn to these league games are big fans of war tactics and playing in large groups. While tournament speedball games are played very fast and with constant moving, woods ball games take longer, and many moves are made using a lot of skill and thought.
The Tactical Ten Paintball League has games that are of a unique playing format. Tactical Ten is a Tactical format of playing paintball. It does not fall into the format of speedball or scenario games. TTPL games formats are have an interesting blend of speedball, woodsball, and scenario elements. Like speedball, the games are played at a fast pace players coordinate their efforts as they move up the field. And like scenario games, the playing fields are large and many of its games revolve around some kind of central theme. Many Tactical Ten Paintball League games have Military simulation formats. For example, one of the upcoming TTPL games coming up is War Games 2007, a 2 day game taking place at Disaster Sports Paintball in Kissimmee Florida. War Games 2007 is going to be a two day event that starts on March 17th, and going through March 18th.
The TTPL Tactical Ten Paintball League is similar to Woods ball, with its themed events, but also similar to speedball, having organized league teams. Ambush Alpha are one of the TTPL's most successful teams. Ambush Alpha was created in early 2005, and have competed in scenario games and pro tournament speedball tournaments. Many of the players on the Ambush Alpha roster have played in some of the most high profile professional tournaments. Ambush Alpha hit the ground running after their formation in February 2005 winning several awards in high profile games. The exploits of Ambush Alpha had been written about in a number of online and print publications.
The Tactical Ten Paintball League is sponsored by Rap4, or Real Action Paintball. Tactical Ten is a young league, founded in October of 2006. But what the league lacks in age, it makes up for in exciting and creative matches. The TTPL league is for players who want more competition and tactical play. These games are designed to be the closest thing to real combat and warfare that a paintball player will ever experience. Some teams on the rise in this league include the 13th Legionnaires, Team Jester, and the CYP Dawgs. The CYD Dawgs are sponsored by Redz and Pyro Paintball.
