PSP - Professional Paintball
PSP is a national US paintball league. PSP stands for Paintball Sports Promotions with games being played nationwide. The most popular PSP games are the X-Ball series. Paintball Sports Promotions feature NXL games on national television on ESPN2.
PSP, or Paintball Sports Promotions, host some of the most prestigious paintball tournaments in the country. The PSP hosts paintball events that draw a number of the countries biggest national sponsors, such as National Paintball Supply, Proto, UForce, and CP Custom Products. PSP Professional draws some of the most watched paintball events in the country, including national televised professional tournaments and games featuring the best professional players. PSP tournament promoters toast to the best teams always win, and that the referees running these tournaments make sure that all of these games are played cleanly and fairly.
As stated above the PSP league hosts some of the most popular games played in the US. PSP hosts a number of electrifying events such as the NXL the X-Ball Ochos, and the 5-man Ochofinals. Tournament games have drawn some well known teams including the Miami Raiders, Baltimore Trauma, Sacramento XSV, and the Boston Red Legion. These exciting games are sponsored by marker and gear manufacturers such as Hybrid Technologies , Proto, ST Shocktech, Angry Paintball, and Tippmann. Admission to PSP matches is free to spectators who may watch from the stands or designated areas. Spectators, fans of the game, and friends and family of the athletes are encouraged to come to the games and cheer on their favorite players. Many of the paintball manufacturers are on hand at the events to hand out information about the games and their products. Sponsors such as Draxxus are often on hand at the PSP events with their latest lines of products for fans and spectators to play with and check out.

PSP Professional Paintball events are scored on zero to 100 point system, with a lost place team receiving 10 points, and a first team receiving 100 points. The teams placing in the middle places will be assigned points in multiples of 10 with the second place team receiving 90 points and so on. If there were 20 team, rankings would be given out in units of 5 instead of units of 10. So in a 20 team tournament, a first place team would receive 100 points, 2nd place would receive 95 points, a third place team would receive 90 points, and so on down the list.
PSP teams may enter into as many events as they would like, they are not restricted to one event. PSP Professional Paintball is a growing league, with more tournaments taking place around the country every year. The PSP General Manager, Alex Elliott, is active and energetic and passionate about bringing PSP events to your local area, and is available by email at alex@pspevents.com.
