NWPS
The NWPS is also known as the Northwest Paintball Series, and features some of the most intense competitive paintball in the northeast United States. The NWPS is sponsored by some of the industry's best manufacturers, including Archon Paintball, Pro Ball Platinum, and Dye Precision. The NWPS promote paintball games that feature a high degree of sportsmanship with generous prize giveaways to the top ranked tournament teams. Every year, the NWPS has an event schedule loaded with some of the biggest tournament events in the country. In 2007, the NWPS will host several events including tourneys at Battleground Paintball Snohomish. During the 2007 season, there will be 5 major events hosted at several locations all over the U.S., with a NW Open Final 07 NWPS Event towards the end of the summer. The NWPS promotes themselves as having the fiercest competition in the northwest. Some paintball fields in the northwest include Shadow Walker Paintball Fields in Greyball Wyoming, Alpine Assault Paintball and 100 Degrees Northwest in Arlington Washington.
The NWPS has achieved a continuous success and following, and has grown into its own industry with a line of clothing and merchandise. At each event, players and fans can purchase sweatshirts, t-shirts, and paintball gear from event sponsors. The NWPS has a home office and Proshop at CDRSPORTS.com where products can be purchased at their physical location or online. Products can be special ordered from their Pro Shop and players can have it delivered right to the event.
The NWPS is a paintball circuit for beginner and mid level palyers. The NWPS has divisions for novice, rookie, and beginner teams. The divisional teams are labeled D2 (novice) D3 (Rookie) and D4 Beginner. The beginner divisional teams face off in 4 on 4 tournament events, and the novice and rookie teams face off in 5 on 5 tournament events. Rosters that have additional palyers for substitution will have to pay an additional $10 air fee for each extra player competing as an alternate.

Registration for NWPS events includes an entry fee for an entire team plus the mandatory purchase of paint offered by the NWPS. The D4 Beginner events entry fee is $200 which includes air fee for 4 players. The 5 Man Rookie and 5 Man Novice entry fee is $250 which includes air fee for all five players. The deadline for payment and registration will be due b y midnight on the Monday before the event date.
The Northwest Paintball website publishes the results from each event on their website cdstar.com/nwps as well as overall scores for the season. In 2007, some of the elite teams included Notorious and Montana Carnage from the Novice Division and DBS Paintball.com and Finale from the Rookie division. The NWPS is also sponsored by Zap Paintball.
