NPPL Events
These are several NPPL Events every year, including the world championship events at Huntington Beach, Tampa. The first two major NPPL Events of the 2007 season will be taking place in Huntington Beach, California March 23rd through March 25th, and in Tampa Florida from May 11-May 13th. The NPPL will be working with them many sponsors for these events to build venues that will feature competitive paintball games, and a fun friendly atmosphere. Lat years sponsors included manufacturers such as Great American Paintballs, Stanky Paintball, Adrenaline Games, and Procaps paintball. Competition between games guarantees to be fierce, and there are many new teams that will compete in 2007 NPPL Events. In 2007, the NPPL Super 7 and the XPLS were bought by Pacific Paintball LLC, who plane to take the two tournament leagues in new and exciting directions. Some of the games premier prop paintball teams that will be participating in this years NPPL Events will include the always competitive Miami Rage, and the up and coming Jersey Authority Professional Team.
Jersey Authority will proudly represent New jersey paintball in 2007 NPPL Events. In 2007, the Jersey Authority will compete against other pro teams like the Pittsburgh All Americans, DC Arsenal and New England Hurricanes. The Jersey Authority will send its pro roster to Huntington Beach, the first major NPPL Super 7 event in 2007.
Huntington Beach. The world of paintball will watch up close and from afar as the NPPL Season begins in Huntington Beach in 2007. As many as 90,000 spectators and over 210 of the games top teams are expected to attend this event at Huntington Beach. Some of these top paintball teams will include the Chicago Evil and the Los Angeles Infamous of the pro division, and Alien Invasion and the Colorado Shooters of the semi-pro division. All games will be played on 6 incredible playing fields and will be played on the beach, and just south of world-renowned Pier Plaza.
Game Formats. The game formats at all NPPL events are of the classic capture the flag. The games are scored on points, and points are scored for marking opposing players, and capturing the other team's flag. Paintball fields at these games are standardized, in the shape of a compact football field, with inflatable bunkers as obstacles/bunkers on the field. Successful tournament teams learn how to use bunkers like the beam, cylinder, and cone to their advantage, and they always manage to get themselves into the right position. NPPL Events in 2007 will be put together by the NPPL and Pure Promotions to make electrifying events and great angles for spectators to watch the games.
Tampa Bay. The second NPPL major will be played on the grounds of Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay. Raymond James Stadium is a huge complex that is also the home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Many new industry guns and gear will also be on display at this event.
