Northern Europeans Series - NES
The Northern European Series - NES has a number of tournaments throughout the year that take players outdoors and indoors. The NES was founded in 2001, going by the name Nordic Series. While paintball fields and leagues were already well established by the year 2000, many enthusiasts from countries like Sweden and Norway still had the burden of lengthy travel just to get to some of the competitions. Other European Leagues include the Finnish Paintball Federation and the Centurio Circuit. The teams and the league hit the ground running, with high participation numbers the very first year of the Northern European Series Today, the NES is the largest series in Northern Europe and one of the largest in all of Europe. The Millennium Series today is considered the largest European Series, with championship matches in cities like Paris, London, and Toulouse. The success of the Northern European Series has inspired the next generation of paintball players to pursue competitive competition and dedicate more time to the game. The number of new paintball fields and new players in countries like Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Sweden continues to grow every year.
The Northern European Series has two main goals that its organizers strive for and set benchmarks for. First, they want to create and sustain a highly competitive paintball league that the most talented and most colorful teams will want to be a part of. While there are other great European Leagues out there, the operators of NES have worked tirelessly to put together fields and competitions that would be worthy of any team of players in Europe or the United States. The NES has already made good on this goal, with established teams like DOW, Easy-MHR, Saints & Sinners, and STR Enrage. The Northern European Series, www.nespaintball.com even has a section of their website where paintball enthusiasts can find out more about their favorite teams and team websites. At the home page of the Preatorians, www.preatorians.se, browsers can read about the team captains, their favorite playes, and see action photos from their tournament games.

One of the goals of the Northern European Series was to create tournament events that would draw some of the best teams and players from all over Northern Europe. The other goal was to bring the events closer to the players who lived in Northern Europe. NES when founding the league wanted to bring the matches closer to home, and at a price that would be affordable to as many of the players as possible. The operators of the NES have been very proactive at promoting their series and bring in big sponsorships from paintball giants such as Hypersports, Sup 'Air Ball, and Dye. Most of the money from the endorsements go straight back to the players in lower tournament registration fees. The Northern European Series has three divisions: Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3 with championship events in Skara and Stockholm.
