North American Woodsball League - NAWL
The North American Woodsball League - NAWL is one of a number of paintball leagues dedicated to woodsball and scenario games. While most paintball leagues feature flat rectangular speedball fields, the North American Woodsball League games in natural conditions. While Leagues such as Global Paintball League feature proportional fields with strategically placed inflatable bunkers, NAWL fields as uneven and big, with forts and buildings for attack and defend games. While tournament games from leagues like the NPPL nppl.tv play indoor games and closed circuit games in small fields, the North American Paintball League play their games in wide open spaces, including the woods and in large fields. There are a lot more types of bunkers at NAWL fields and games: standing trees, construction piping, man-made buildings, man-made forts attach towers, and underground bunkers.
The North American Woodsball Field is headquartered out of North East Florida. The League is a combination of dedicated playes and officials who organize events. NAWL is a non-profit association for woodsball players, none of the officials from NAWL own a field of their own. This league was founded as a resource for woodsball enthusiasts and young players interested in woodsball. The North American Woodsball League website has a NAWKL Forum for players interested in finding information about upcoming events, and as a learning resource for the younger players. The league was founded as a learning resource for about the sport of paintball and provide woodsball players a tool for organizing local games, tournaments, and leagues. The long-term goal of the NAWL is to help players organize teams and leagues in each city to compete in rookies, movies, or amateur games. Players ten years old or older are encouraged to contact NAWL if they are interested in participating. The first city to play in regular NAWL competitions and events was Jacksonville, Florida. The first local NAWL league that set up a permanent base of operations was the Jacksonville Paintball Association.

The North American Woodsball League is a family friendly atmosphere, and the parents of young players are encouraged to come down and watch their children play. Parents of league players are even encouraged to take up arms. (paintball guns) and participate in games alongside their sons and daughters. NAWL promotes family events, son/daughter, father/son, father/daughter, father/mother or the entire family. NAWL is a growing league, creating new teams and leagues in North American cities every year.
NAWL has had countless events that have incorporated woodsball events and themed events. 2007 saw a large scale participation for the Battle for Cuba. In the Battle for Cuba, the United States and countries like Venezuela and North Korea all come in conflict with each other to take advantage of the vulnerable Cuba following the loss of Fidel Castro. Some scenarios in this woodsball game includes taking forts and attacking forts in fictitious Cuban battles for supremacy of the island.
