National U.S. Paintball Leagues
There are a number of quality National Paintball Leagues around the United States. In addition to National Paintball Leagues like The National Professional Paintball League, there are US Regional Leagues like the Global Paintball League and the New York XBall League. Though the sport of paintball began in New York and New Hampshire, paintball has become a popular sport around the world. Some paintball leagues outside of the United States include the Nordic Series, the Norwegian Paintball League, and the Centurio Circuit. While there are many popular leagues around the world, the US is where things got started, and the National U.S. Paintball Leagues offer its fans some of the best paintball action you could find anywhere.
WPL, World Paintball League. The World Paintball League is also known as the WPL, or the UAPL. This league defines itself as the new breed of Xtreme paintball competition. This league is also known as the UAPL, or Ultimate Paintball League, and is famous for its championship broadcasts on cable television. Paintball on Television has long been considered the vehicle for bringing the game to the next level. While the game today is already popular with rec ball and tournament competitions, most pro players today as still poor, and many of them still have to work other jobs to get by. With the televised broadcasts of UAPL games, players from pro teams are able to commit as much time as they need towards becoming elite athletes, and the fan base has continued to grow. Ultimate Arena Paintball League games are broadcast on Superstation WGN.
Tactical Ten Paintball League, TTPL
The TTPL, or Tactical Ten Paintball League is comprised of teams where you can have as many players as you want dress for games, but where 3 to 10 players from each team are allowed on the field at a given time. The creators of Tactical Ten games chose the smaller team format because they felt the smaller unit teams worked better together, and the games were more exciting. The TTPL website features message boards for commenting on league games, as well as forums for questions and answers about game tactics and paintball products.

Scenario Paintball Players League, SPPL. This leagues host large scenario games across the country, and the games feature a 10-man format. The 10-man format contrasts with other scenario games formats, where each side could have in excess of 100 players. The SPPL website has information about upcoming events, such as special ops broadcasts and the Special Ops Brigade. The SPPL website also has information about products needed for scenario games, such as the Blackcell Operative Vest, the CP ION Make Trigger, and the Special OPS-C-Series Devastator.
Paintball Sports Promotions, PSP. PSP has news about the sponsors supporting their league, such as Smart Parts, Hybrid Technologies, and Proto Paintball. Paintball Sports Promotions also has information about their media sponsors such as Jawbreaker Video Series, and Splat Magazine. PSP hosts spectacular tournament games in a number of formats, including XBall rules, and 5 man X-ball rules.
National Professional Paintball League, NPPL
www.nppl.tv/site. The NPPL is a pro league with teams like the San Diego Dynasty, the Pittsburgh All Americans, and the XSV.
