The National College Paintball Association
The National College Paintball Association is a volunteer organization that was created to promote paintball at the interscholastic level. The National College Paintball Association is also known as the NCPA. The NCPA has a published website, www.college-paintball.com that has info. about the organization, about college teams, and about past and upcoming events. The NCPA host interscholastic events at the High School and College level. The NCPA website publishes information about teams, and team rankings. In 2005-2006 College Rankings, leaders in the Class A (Long format 5-man) were the University of Illinois in the Midwest division, the Penn State Nittany Lions in the Northeast, and the University of Florida Gators in the Southeast. Ranked leaders in the Great Lakes Region in the Class A (Long Format 5-man) included top finalists Grand Valley State University Lakers, followed by the University of Cincinnati Bearcats and the University of Pittsburgh Panthers.
The NCPA and its members organize charity events, scenario games, big games, recreational club outings, informational meetings, recruitment drives, and intra-scholastic events for other university organizations. The NCPA and its member clubs, when not putting all of these events together, participate in paintball games in the National Intercollegiate Tournament League.

The NCPA and its member clubs think that their league is a great organization to play games in, compared to recreational paintball, and tournament paintball. While longstanding sports like college football and college baseball have a great network of people from College Presidents to coaches to players to alumni to run and support the leagues, college and high school players also need their own league for paintball. The NCPA also provides various benefits for its members, such as organization, publishing schedules for, and publishing results of league events. For instance, the NCPA Paintball website held major events such as the NPPL Huntington Beach Open in Huntington Beach California, and the NPPL Super 7 World Series in the OC Fain and Expo Center, California. In the NPPL Huntington Beach Open, first place in the Class AA Short Format 5-man belonged to the University of California Irvine Anteaters followed by the University of Connecticut Huskies in second place, and the University of Wisconsin Platteville Pioneers in third place.
There are many great venues for 2006-2007 NCPA events. At the JMU Southeast Open in Strasburg, Virginia, some college paintball programs that participated included the Arizona State University Sun Devils, the University of Tennessee Volunteers, and the Air Force Academy Falcons. The Air Force Academy Falcons are a competitive team in the National College Paintball Association, with participation in interscholastic events including the National Championships at Xdrenalin Zone in Dallas Texas, and the Kansas State Open at Tornado Valley Paintball. The costs of these events is kept low, thanks to the contributions by sponsors such as Diablo Direct, Brass Eagle, and JT USA. The Winter West Conference held winter paintball events in February 29th, 2007.
