Centurio Circuit | Paintball Leagues
The Centurio Circuit is one of several leagues outside of the United States, and one of many that use Sup'Airball inflatable bunkers. Other leagues that use Sup' Airball inflatables include the CFOA, American Xtreme Paintball League, and the Open de Catalunya. The Centurio Circuit is a 5-Man European League with events in Europe and Russia. The Centurio Circuit 5-man European Paintball League has upcoming events in Prague Czech Republic, Warsaw Poland, Moscow Russia, L'uiv Ukraine, Bratislava Slovakia, and Athens Greece. The Centurio league is made up of players from all over the world, including Romania, Croatia, Norway, Austria, and the United States. The Centurio is comprised of the divisions, with division 1 being the most competitive. Division 1 includes teams such as 2easy from Poland, FRAGless of Poland, and Vienna United of Austria. The AtomiX of Ukraine, INSTINCT LV of Latvia, and Paintstorm of Germany all compete in Division 2 action. In Division 3, the Aliens of Poland, Black Sheep of Croatia, and Dark Shadows of Hungary all compete for first place rankings.
In the 1st Division, each period is 15 minutes long, and the first team to score 4 points wins. Division 1 teams are only allowed to play other Division 1 teams. All games will take place on one field. A 16 team maximum is permitted for the Division I 2007 season. The signup for Division 1 is first come, first serve. The first 16 teams to register and qualify will play in D1 in season 2007. At the end of the 2007 season, the top 14 ranked teams from the D1 ranking will be promoted to Division 1 in season 2008. The teams with the 15 & 16 ranking will be put down to Division 2. Conversely, the top 2 Division 2 teams will be promoted to Division 1 for the 2008 season. All of the games will be held on the same field during a single match. The Centurio Circuit appreciates its sponsorships from manufacturers such as Draxxus, Pro Toyz, Tomahawk, and RPS. The Centurio Circuit first opened its doors in 2004, with novice and amateur divisions. While there were other paintball leagues in Northern and Central Europe, there was a need for a league that would host more events in Eastern Europe. The first year, the novice division champions included Che Russia with #1 ranking, Devils Slovakia in second, and the Ukrainian Lions Ukrain in third. In the Amateurs Division, Grad Russia took first place honors, followed by Chillout Poland and Freefall Austria in third.

Centurio Buharest was the first major paintball event to be hosted in Romania. The Centurio Buharest generated interest in the game and there are a number of Romanian teams in the Circuit today. Banda Obscura in Division 3 and the RO-Maniacs of the D3 are two up and coming Romanian teams that seek to beat into D2 in season 2008. The Centurio Circuit website has a news like to pages that illustrate field layouts for upcoming events, and hotel information for people that need lodging for these tournaments.
