The American Paintball League
The American Paintball League, or APL, was created be Bob McGuire in 1991. The APL insures paintball fields, field stores, and manufacturers in the U.S. The APL insures most paintball related fields and events, such as airsoft fields, national tournaments, and scenario games. The APL has provided insurance for thousands of paintball fields and events for the past 15 years. The American Paintball League web presence has a list of forms for download that includes APL Rules and requirements, an outdoor supplement, and an indoor supplement. These forms provide information on how to apply for an application to the league, and information on field safety and on how to properly manage a paintball field.
The American Paintball League hosts a number of 3 man and 5 man tournament events, with thousands of dollars of cash prizes for tournament winners. The APL will has events that include speedball, as well as scenario events. Spiro Mamaligas was picked to be Scenario Game Director, and to design the scenario events of APL games. Spiro has worked closely with APL sponsors to bring in semi-automatic markers, jerseys, and other paintball gear as prizes at scenario games events.

CFOA - The Carolina Field Owner's Association. The CFOA has an online website that lists the results of their main tournaments, and has a link for CFOA X-Ball Events and CFOA 5-man Events. In 2006, some champions in the advanced XBall standings included the Carolina Cardinals, Gridlock Inc., and Gridlock Red.
GPL - Global Paintball League.. The GPL hosts a fall line of popular tournaments, including 7 on 7 tournaments, 5 Man Divisions, and 3 man Divisions. The GPL website has sections for downloading forms to register for events, as well as image galleries to download pictures of part paintball events. Tournaments for the Global Paintball League include Origin Paintballs and JT USA.
