V - Paintball Terms and Definitions

• Vitals - A game where only hits to the mask, back or chest count as eliminations. Hits to the limbs shoulders and waist do not count as eliminations. This is a game that is typically played on the Woodsball circuit.
  
  
  
  
• Velocity Adjuster - A component of a paintball gun (usually a set screw) that when turned either clockwise or counter clockwise direction will increase or decrease the paint gun's muzzle velocity. Velocity Adjusters are not to be touched within games, as this would be a violation of game rules. Rules against modifying muzzle velocities apply of licensed paintball fields such as New Jersey Reball Center in Fairfield New Jersey, and Pick-Up Paintball in Provo Utah.
  
  
• Valve - Any device for halting or controlling the flow of something, such as a gas or liquid, through a pipe, out of a bottle neck, or other passage.
  
  
• Valve Porting - The enlarging or drilling of additional holes in a valve body so that more gas will be released when the valve system is opened.
  
  
• Valve System - All internal parts in the paint gun which control the flow of gas through the paint gun.
  
  
• Velocity Spike - A sudden, often inexplicable increase in the muzzle velocity of a paintball gun.
  
  
• VForce (manufacturer) VForce are active in developing the products that you will need to protect your face in a paintball game. VForce make their own systems as well as the products that you will need to maintain them. The VForce Profiler Mask, VForce Shield Mask, and VForce Vantage Mask will all do their jobs shielding your face from paintballs and fit comfortably in the process. Though these products are made for durability and a long life, the lenses that come with all head protection systems need to be periodically cleaned and eventually replaced. To clean and maintain your goggle system, you may use their VForce Anti-Fog Solution or their VForce Lens Cleaner.
  
  
• Vapor Works (manufacturer) - While VForce products keep your eyes and face from getting abused, Vapor Works products will keep your paintball marker running smoothly. Vapor Works makes such products as the S4 Bearing Trigger, Vapor Valve, Chaos Pandora Board, S-4 Bearing Trigger, Entropy Board, No-Rise Bushmaster Feed Neck, and Chaos 2k6 Board.
  
  
• Vendetta - If you have a real life vendetta or an ax to grind, you might want to call Tony Soprano or the Godfather. But if you need the best components for a truly tricked out marker, then you will need to buy Vendetta Paintball products. Vendetta produce Autococker Accessories like their Autococker Deluxe Pump Kit, and easy touch triggers like the Ion Rolling Trigger. The Ion Rolling Trigger is made of only the finest T6061 aircraft aluminum.
  
  
• Voodoo - Though their company name may sound a little spooky, there is nothing funny about the performance of Voodoo products. Voodoo's Delrin Bolt is a light, strong plastic material that will be a better alternative to your clunky, heavy aluminum bolt.
