Similar games to the Quest variation can include Time Stopper, President, P.O.W., Medic and Traps. In this game, four to five heroes are selected to be a Warrior, Dwarf, Thief, Elf, or Wizard. Together, the heroes must stop at a number of places, picking up new weapons or other artifacts, and make it through a series of challenges at each place to win the game. Prior to the start of the game, four to five players are designated as a Warrior, Dwarf, Thief, Elf, or Wizard, and together they make up the hero team. For each player, an index card is created that includes the type of paintball weapon, armor, spells, or special skill they have. On the back of each card, write a brief description of the quest that the heroes must complete. The rest of the players are monsters and are given 15-30 minutes to set up a defense around the areas where the heroes will need to go to complete certain tasks. On the paintball field, several stations will be set up, where the heroes will try to eliminate the defenders so that they will be able to pick up certain items there. Each station will be highlighted with a post so that the heroes will be able to see it.
