G - Paintball Terms & Definitions
- Gas Efficiency - refers to the amount of shots a gun gets in relation to the amount of liquid Co2 it uses. Gas Efficiency is similar to miles per gallon: i.e. getting 500 shots from an 8 ounce constant air tank.
- Gas Pig - Is a marker and air system that uses more gas than is necessary to fire a paintball at maximum speed. A paintball barrel can make a system a gas pig if it is so long that it actually causes drag on the paintball.
- Gagged - A player is gogged when they are struck by a paintball smack in their goggles. Gogged is also sometimes known as a head shot.

Most goggles specifically protect the eyes, but paintball goggle systems usually protect the eyes and face. Some goggle systems protect the necks as well. Some great systems include Game Face 3D Skull and the JT USA Elite System.

Hand grenades are not markers or other weapons that are used in speedball games. They are usually tools for use in scenario games.

There are several styles of grips that are available to players, including wraparound types, wood, and rubber.
