BYOP - Paintball An Acronym Definition
BYOP as a paintball definition means Bring Your Own Paint. While many paintball fields have a field store that sells field paint, there are still some that do not. In this case, players should BYOP, or bring their own paint. Most commercial fields are the opposite of BYOP, meaning that to play games on their fields you must buy their paint. Usually, the paint that you buy on these fields will be a little more expensive than the same paint if you bought it wholesale at online, or at a paintball store. All this may seem like a very unscrupulous practice on the part of the fields owners, most of them claim that they would not be able to stay in business without selling field paint. The bottom line is that if you are having a good time in the field you are playing on, then you should think of it as a necessary expense that you will just have to live with. At fields like Accusplat Paintball Field, the owner has spent hours of his creative energies and money towards creating some great fields and courses to give the players a full day of action. At AccuSplat Paintball, air and field paint are required for participation in your event. Any profits made from the selling of field paint and air help to keep the fields modern and beautiful, and to pay staff and referees. Accusplat is a great venue for special events, as well as paintball games such as phantom paintball.
While most fields require players to buy their field paint, there are still some that are BYOP, or Bring Your Own Paint. Outlaw Paintball is sometimes BYOP, and it is a field worth visiting. This is a field that offers special events played for a big parties, as well as games for the individual walk on player. Outlaw Paintball has four main fields that are located on its complex in Pflugerville, Texas. Outlaw has a one of a kind field called The Fort Field. This Fort Field is an open cinderblock building that has a walkway all the way around the top of it for shooting at the enemy. The Fort has doorway openings that the defenders must breach in this amazing attack and defend complex. Surrounding the complex are some manmade mounds about 6 feet high, some barrel walls and huge construction pipes layed vertical for attackers to hide behind as they approach the complex. The Fort Field is a one of a kind fort that has drawn the attention of many paintball enthusiasts in Virginia and beyond.

Across from the Fort Field is a unique Hyperball field made not of inflatable bunkers, but construction piping laid out horizontally and vertically. These construction piping is hollow but made of a very strong metal, so they will not get knocked over unless really slammed into. These piping man-made bunkers are about 21/2 feet wide in diameter. Both sides of the fields are identical, as in other speedball fields with inflatable bunkers. Check with the field managers at Outlaw Paintball to see if they are BYOP, or Bring Your Own Paint.
Other fields are not BYOP. At Skirmish Paintball Fields, players are required to use field paint at their complex. Skirmish paintball fields have excellent packages for private events including free equipment with 25 or more players.
