Trophy Hunter - Paintball Games
Trophy hunter is a unique paintball game because it is a player oriented match as opposed to team games such as kick the bucket, or reinforcements. Like the survival game, trophy hunter is an individual game where one player is pitted against the other in a trophy collecting contest. In this game, the player with the most trophies wins. Trophies in this game are actually armbands that players carryon their arms, that another player collects if he makes a successful hit on him. A player collects an armband for each player he eliminates in the match. A player can only collect one armband from each player no matter how many times he hits that individual player. There are no teams in this game. The entire match takes 30 minutes. The match is broken into a series of 5 minute mini-games, with a waiting period between these mini-games. The short period between these mini-games is referred to as the waiting period. Players collect as many trophies as they can during the match, and the one with the most trophies at the end wins.
The Game Rules/Procedures. There are no teams in this game, everyone works as an individual, trying to collect as many trophies as they can before the end of the game. Each player wears three armbands on each arm (those armbands are the trophies for collecting.) A player collects a trophy by eliminating a playe during the match. The shooter can only collect one trophy from a single player. The game begins with players spread out all over the playing field. The larger match of Trophy Hunter is broken down into a series of 5 minute matches, with a short rest between mini-games referred to as the waiting period. The entire match spans 30 minutes. Playes who are hit must drop to the ground and remain motionless during the next five minute signal. The player who hit the motionless player will collect his trophy during the next waiting period. A player can only collect one trophy from any one individual player. The motionless player is back in the game as soon as he hears the next 5 minute signal. The player who has the most trophies at the end of the match wins.

Trophy Hunter is one of the few non-team events where an individual can really show everyone what they're made of. There is no tree to hide behind while your other teammates do all the work, to win you are going to have to go out and make your own eliminations. This is really an event where a player's failure or success will not hinge on one lucky shot getting through, but his accomplishments over an entire event. A player can actually get marked early, but go on to gathering the most trophies by the end of the match. In games like charge of the light brigade, some players are likely to get tagged from random hits whether they are the best or worst player on the field. With today's high end markers that shoot up to 25 paintballs per second, hundreds of paintballs may be flying around in a given match. Some people are bound to get hit by one, whether they are a paintdog or a newbie. With this multiple-elimination format, the winner at the end of the match can be proud to say that he was the best player in the game.
Trophy Hunter is one of a number of other paintball games that are popular on paintball fields like Fireball Mountain in North Hanover, New Jersey, and Paintballer's Paradise in Bismarck, North Dakota. Trophy Hunter and other games like Bunny Hunt are games that give individual playes a chance to shine in games. In the Bunny Hunt game, one player as the bunny tries to survive a 20 minute game against a group of Hunters trying to eliminate him.
