Top Gun
Top gun is a variation of elimination, and this game is usually played at the end of the day or when thee are only a few players available for skirmishing. Top Gun is usually a short game usually with a maximum time limit of 20 minutes. The objective of the paintball game top gun is to be the last player standing, this is a game of total elimination. There are no teams in this game, you play to be the only player not eliminated. Players may use one of a number of tactics to stay alive through the end of this game. Some players wait back and lay low while other players eliminate each other, emerging when thee is on e or a few players remaining. Other palyers take advantage of two players in the heat of combat. While two opposing palyers are going at it, a third shooter may approach unseen, picking one or both of them off. Sometimes, two or more players may form a temporary alliance, taking down the most formidable opponent. Once this big challenger has been eliminated, the two players then turn on each other. Other popular paintball games include Foxes and Hounds, Predator, Arenaball, President, Sharks and Minnows and Crossfire: Double Border. Paintball games are popular on paintball fields such as Bennet Allweather Paintball in Gorham Maine and Extreme Action Paintball in Norwood Ma.
In games that feature the elimination style format, the objective of the game is to eliminate all the players on the opposing team, or to eliminate all of the other players on the field in the simple game Elimination, each team tries to eliminate all the rest of the other teams by tagging them out with paintballs. The team that eliminates all the players on the opposing team wins the game. Like most elimination formatted games, the paintball game Elimination is short, lasting less than 15 minutes. Like nearly all style formats, one important tactic in this game is to get as many matchups as you can that favor your team. That means traveling in groups of two or more with your teammates and getting as many two on one or 3 on 1 matchups as you can. Players should be at their most aggressive or moving on the enemy when they get matchups in their favor.

Still another variation of Elimination is called Foxes and Hounds. Foxes and Hounds is similar to the game Rabbit, but this game calls for many player's to chase a few players with the objective of eliminating them. In the Game Rabbit, an entire team must chase a single player (the rabbit) to eliminate him, while the rabbit tries to evade getting tagged until the game expires. In the game Foxes and Hounds, two or three players are chased by all the other players. The Rabbit team is allowed a head start while the Fox team remain at the designated holding area. The rabbits usually have some type of marker or level of playing experience to even the odds. The rabbit is usually the most experienced player, or he may be allowed a semi-automatic marker while the others have pumpguns.
