Reach For the Top - Paintball Games
Reach for the Top, like random rapid fire, is another shooting game where player can only shoot months at a given target. This is another paintball game where a player is limited to one paintball for each target, and where players shoot at close, medium and long range targets. One thing that makes this game unique from other paintball games is that there are multiple rounds in this game. In reach for the top, players must complete 3 rounds of shooting at targets at short, medium, and long range. The player who has the most hits at targets in the third round wins the game. In this game, players learn to make every shot count, and they learn to shoot at long range targets.
The Game Rules/Procedures. There are three rounds of shooting in this game, and 10 targets to shoot at in each round. In each round, there are 3 short range targets (15 - 20ft.), 4 at medium range (35 - 50ft.) and 3 at long range (80 - 100ft.). To get to the second round of shooting, a player must hit 6 out of 10 targets. To get to the third round of shooting, a shooter must hit at least 7 out of 10 targets. Players must hit the maximum number of targets to advance to the next round. Players of course can score higher than the minimum. Players are limited to 10 paintballs per round. Players can only shoot at one target per round. Reach for the top is a points scored game, with one point scored for each target hit. The player with the most points scored wins the game.

Long shot is a unique paintball game because it involves several rounds of shooting competition. The game is also similar in its point scoring system to paintball games such as Snapshot, and Follow Me. Follow me is a game where one player is awarded points for targets hit. Follow me is a game that is specifically between two shooters, while reach for the top can have any number of players (the game should have at least two players). Follow me has two shooters. In this game a lead shooter must try to hit a target that he calls out or points to before firing. If he hits the called target, then the other player gets to try to hit the same target. If the second player fails, the lead shooter gets a point. If the first shooter misses the target, the second person becomes the lead shooter, and aims for the target. The role of the lead shooter will continue to rotate until one of them hits the called target. The first shooter to reach 20 points wins the game. Follow me is different from reach for the top because it specifies a given number of points that must be scored, 20 in this game.
Paintball games like reach for the top have been skirmished on fields like Mike's Paintball in Royal Palm Beach Florida, Action Pursuit Paintball in Greeley Colorado, and Sinister Sports #1 in Elk Grove California. Games like these and other games like musket ball, end of the day, and night recon have captured the imagination of the young and old paintball crowds, and add enough variation to the sport to keep the games interesting. For more skill-building practice, try playing snapshot with your teammates and friends. Snapshot is a game that limits how high you can bring up your marker to shoot it, below the shoulders, and below eye level.
