Hostage Rescue - Paintball Games
Some paintball games are concluded in the event of a flag capture, like in reinforcements or Gettysburg. In games like recon, the team with the moist points wins. But hostage rescue is a game based on specific objectives. In this game, the objective is to either bring or stop the rescuers from bringing the hostage to the sanctuary. Paintball games like hostage rescue and other games like kick the bucket bring variety to the sport and offer players a number of interesting new objectives to accomplish.
The Game Rules/Procedures. The game features two teams, one being the rescuers, and one the terrorists. The first act is for the terrorists selecting one of the rescuers to act as the hostage. The hostage is then led to one of two holding areas that he must be rescued from. The game begins with the rescuers knowing which holding area the hostage is held in. Terrorists do not know which holding area the hostage is trapped in. The job of the rescuers is to rescue the hostage from the holding area, and bring him to a sanctuary area. The location of the sanctuary area is disclosed to the hostages. The game is concluded with a rescuers victory if they succeed in bringing the hostage to the sanctuary area. The hostage rescue game usually lasts 3- minutes. The objective of the terrorists is to stop the rescuers from bringing the hostage to sanctuary.

The rules of the game are pretty straightforward. The terrorists are given a five minute head start to take the hostage to one of the two holding areas. When the hostage has been secured in the holding area, the ref gives the start of the game signal. The hostage is stuck in the holding area until he is rescued, he can't escape. The terrorist can't hide the hostage outside the holding area, or move him out of the holding area for any reason. The terrorists cannot eliminate the hostage by shooting at him, if they do so they lose the game. If either team shoots the terrorists accidentally or on purpose, they lose the game. One or more rescuers are needed at the point where the hostage is being rescued and when the hostage is brought to sanctuary. The hostage may not escort himself to sanctuary if all of his rescuers are eliminated. If the hostage finds himself alone after the rescuers are eliminated, he must remain where he is until another rescuer comes along. The hostage may call out to the other rescuers if he finds himself alone. General rules of player elimination apply in these games, where a tagged player must leave the game.
