Frozen in Time is a paintball game where players are able to make a comeback into the game after getting eliminated. If player is marked, he is frozen in place he stops in his tracks, and stays motionless, and waits to be tagged in. The player who is frozen comes is unfrozen when a teammate taps him on the head, and he can come back into the game again. If a frozen player is hit again, he shatters, and is eliminated from the game. A frozen player must remain motionless, and he cannot perform evasive maneuvers like laying down, or devising to evade enemy fire. But a frozen player can kneel down if in the crossfire. A shattered frozen player must proceed to the staging area, out of game action. Other than the unique player eliminations, the other elements of the game include 2 flag stations, and classical capture the flag rules.
The Game Rules/Procedures. The setup of the game is in traditional capture the flag style, with two flag stations next to two equally sized teams. 30 minutes is a typical time limit for frozen in time paintball games. When a player is marked with a paintball, he freezes in place, and puts up a hand to indicate that he has been tagged. If a teammate taps the frozen player on the head, then he is back in the game. If a player is hit again by the opposing team while frozen, then he is eliminated from the game. The player can get frozen, and then brought back in multiple times as long a he doesn't get marked a second time while frozen. The other components of the game follow the traditional capture the flag format.
