Follow Me - Paintball Games
The Follow Me paintball game has similarities to the game of horse you played as a kid, where the other player would hit the same shot as you did. With follow me, a first shooter picks a target, and the other shooter must hit the same target the first one hit. If the second shooter misses, the first gets a point. And vice versa for the second shooter. This game features two shooters, while paintball games like Reach for the Top can have from 2 to any number of players. Follow me is a two player game with the lead shooter scoring a point if he makes a shot that the second shooter misses. If the first shooter misses his shot, the holes are reversed, and the second shooter becomes the first shooter (or the lead shooter). This is another paintball game where player only allowed one shot for each target. In games like these, players learn to conserve paint and be economical with their shots. Some players can go a long way with a killer fast shooting marker and lots of paint, but eventually their lack of skills will catch up with them. Spraying paint all around me get you along in mid-level and rec-ball, but when you approach the professional level you will be in trouble. Games like follow me and long shot teach or re-teach the basics, which including making the most out of a couple trigger pulls, and the importance of shooting accuracy.
The Game Rules/Procedures. Follow me is a two shooter, two player game. Players with a calling to determine who will be the lead shooter. The lead shooter then calls a target and then shoots at it. If the first shooter hits the target, then the second must try to hit the same target next. If the second shooter misses the first target, the first shooter scores a point. If the first shooter misses target, then the roles are reversed, and the second shooter becomes the lead shooter. If the first shooter hits a target that the second then misses, the first shooter gets the point, selects a new target, and shoots again. The first shooter to reach 20 points wins the game.

Follow me is a great game for a player to work on his accuracy and marksmanship. While shooting at a range is a good way to work on your aim and warm up your body, it does not simulate real game conditions in ways paintball games such as rapid-fire, traitor and follow me can. These types of games teach players the importance of quality shots and not just filling the whole field with paint splatter. These games teach players the value of each shot, and the importance of good aim and technique paintball games like capture the flag, bunker ball, and Follow Me are often played on fields like The Paintball Sphere in Youngstown Ohio, and Beach Paintball in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Follow me is one of a few paintball games that feature a two player format and a low number of shots fired. One other game that is also a one-on- one battle is the game duel. In duel, two players start the game back to back with one bullet in the chamber, just like in the old west. Each player walks out ten paces, and at the count of ten turns around and shoots. The person that is not gunned down the duel wins the duel. Like Follow Me this is a contest is between two players, and could include a warden or game official.
