Roll the Bucket - Paintball Game Variations
Roll the Bucket is a slight variation on paintball games featuring the capture the flag format. In most capture the flag formats, the goal of the game is to make it to the opponent's flag station to either hang the flag, or capture the flag. In this game the objective is to roll the bucket over in the opposing team's flag station. The first team that knocks over the opposing team's bucket wins.
The Game Rules/Procedures. The format of the game is two equally numbered teams with two flag stations. Instead of a flag hanging in the opposing team's flag station, there is a bucket placed in plain view, near the flag pole. The bucket is heavy enough so that it can't be knocked over by the wind, but light enough so that a player can easily roll it over. Roll the Bucket is a short paintball game that usually lasts 20 minutes. The bucket is to remain stationary, the opposing team may not move it, or do anything to conceal it. Only unmarked players may roll the bucket, an eliminated player must leave the field immediately. If a marked player rolls the bucket after getting eliminated, the referee makes a call that the game is not over, and he resets the bucket. General rules of player eliminations apply to the roll the bucket games.
