Fugitive | Paintball Game Variations
Fugitive is a game where a single player must try to play against many and survive against long odds. In most paintball games where one or a few players are outnumbered by many, the outnumbered team is given some type of technological advantage to give him a better chance of survival. But in the fugitive game, the outnumbered player actually plays against a team of hunters who have superior weapons. To balance off this dear disadvantage, the fugitive is allowed to play with camouflage clothing while the hunting team must wear bright orange jerseys or vests. Most paintball games that featured an outnumbered team have time oriented objectives, where a player or small team must survive for a certain period of time. But in the game Fugitive, a lone player must navigate the playing field, to make his way to an exit point in the order of the field. The fugitive can survive, even with less fire power, if he can avoid being seen or avoid getting eliminated. Other popular paintball games include X-Ball Light, XBall, Centerflag, President, Predator: Duel, and Inquisition.
IN the game Fugitive one player is designated the Fugitive and given a couple of minutes to find a hiding sport before the game begins. In these games, there is usually one fugitive and 2-4 other players who hunt him and try to mark him. This game is usually played in a Woodsball environment where there are a lot of places to hide, giving the fugitive a chance to survive. For this game to be played right, the playing field should have clear boundaries that surround the entire field. Without clear boundaries, the fugitive could just exit the playing field and come around to the exit to proclaim victory. The fugitive can do anything to evade being eliminated, as long as he stays within the boundary tape until he gets to the exit of the field. The objective of the game is for the fugitive to make it to the exit of the field (sometimes called the base point.) If the hunting team (2 to 4 players) tag the fugitive before he makes it to the exit, they win the game. More than 4 players would give the hunting team too much of an advantage. The fugitive is allowed to wear stealth clothing such as full camouflage. Some great stealth clothing would include the Kingman Spyder Camo Jersey and the Smart Parts Renegade Camo Pants. The hunters are required to wear bright orange vests or jerseys.

Fugitives are required to either carry no weapons or paintball guns that have a low rate of fire. Stockguns such as these include the Brass Eagle Saber Twin Turbo, Carter Machine Comp, and the Chipley Custom Machine J2 Pump. The players tracking the fugitive can be equipped with fast shooting markers such as the WDP Angel "The Gat", Warped Sportz LA, Z-Force, and XSV Paintball Ego.
Other paintball games where one or a few players must compete while outnumbered include Shoot the Groom, Bunny Hunt, and Sitting Duck.
