Domination - Multiple Life Games
Domination and the Multiple Life Games like Predator and President offer the type of action and excitement that keeps paintball players coming back to the rec field. Domination and other Multiple Life Games are similar to other attack-and-defend games because they include defenders who must remain within a given location and prevent the attackers from accomplishing an objective. And within a given 20 minute time period, the attacking team must break through the lines of defense to accomplish some task. The objective of the attackers is usually a flag-raise, a flag grab, or the shooting of an object. In Multiple-Life Games and Attack-and-Defend Games, a defense must remain in a given area and prevent the attacking team from coming in and accomplishing their checked in.
Multiple-Life Games differ from attack-and-defend-games when it comes to player eliminations. While attackers are only allowed one single life in the Attack-and-Defend Games, they are allowed one extra life in Multiple-Life Games and games like Domination. In Multiple Life Games like Domination, the tagged attacker may be allowed to come back to the game one time after returning to his home base. Sadly, defenders get only one life. And all Multiple Life Games, the goal is to accomplish the objective within a given time frame. If the objective is completed before time expires, the attackers win. If the objective is not completed within the time limit, then the defending team wins. Domination-Multiple Life Games are played on large fields with three flags stations set to the defending teams color. To win the game, the attacking team must capture all three flags. To capture a flag station, the attacking team must lower the enemy flag, and raise their own. Until the attacking teams flag has been raised to the top of flag pole, that station is still in play. Once the attacking teams flag has been raised to the top of the poll, the station has been captured, and the defending team may not take it down. If an attacker is eliminated while raising his team's flag, he must immediately leave the station, and the flag must remain where it was where the attacker was shot. At this point a defending player may once again raise the defending team's flag. Or another attacking player could swoop in and finish the job. If shot down, and attacking player must return back to his home base, where he can re-emerge for a second life. The attacking team must capture all three flag stations before time expires to win the game.
