Alien Invasion: Mother Ship | Paintball Game Variations
This is another paintball game where one group starts the game with a limited supply of paintballs while the other team begins the game with a hopper full of paint. Like the game Alien Invasion, the Alien team is only allowed to carry 10 paintballs in their hopper while the Marines can carry as many as they need. Like Alien Invasion, there are two teams, the Aliens and the Marines. Unlike the game Alien Invasion, in Alien Invasion: Mother Ship, the Aliens are the defenders, who must try to stop the Marines from accomplishing their objective. In this game, the objective is the stick a wire flag at each of two spots located at opposite ends of the field. In Mother Ship, the Aliens must try to hold out for 30 minutes and keep the Marines from planting the flags and all running back to the escape pod before blowing the whistle or air horn. All surviving marines must make it back to the escape pod before the horn is blown, or else the game will end in a stalemate. The Aliens win the game if their objective isn't accomplished in the 30 minute span.
Before the game, two teams of equal strength are created, the Space Marines and the Aliens. Place an air horn in a 10 foot square area at the center of the field that represents the Marine's detonator and escape pod. The escape pod is where the air horn will be blown to detonate the two posts that will kill all the other aliens once they are set to blow. Two posts are located at opposite ends of the field across from the escape pod at center field. These posts are targets that marines must blow up. To set up these targets for blowing up, a wire flag must be placed at each target before the horn can be blown to detonate them. The Aliens start at opposite ends of the field, about 30 feet behind each post. Each Alien leaves his starting area carrying no more than 10 paintballs. He will be able to pick up 10 more paintballs if he is tagged and must go back to his starting point. The Marines begin the game inside the escape pod with as many paintballs as they can fit in their hopper. Most hoppers hold between 160 and 200 paintballs.

Two of the Marines inside the escape pod carry wire flags that they must try to place at one of two posts. When the game starts, the flag holding Marines go in two different directions towards the posts with the other Marines providing cover fire. If a flag carrying Marine is tagged, he sticks the flag in the ground where he was eliminated. A tagged Marine is out of the game by single elimination. Another Marine can pick up the flag and continue on towards the posts. If an Alien is tagged, he must return to his starting location where he can refill his hopper to its 10 paintball limit and return back to the game. The Alien is eliminated when tagged a third time. If the Marines plant both flags at the posts, they must all return back to the escape pod and blow the whistle or air horn. If they manage to plant the flags, make it back to the escape pod, and blow the horn, they win the game.
