Tactics | Hold That Flag!
Tactics for a game of Hold That Flag! are interesting, because during a particular round two teams may combine their forces against a common enemy but compete individually for a match. What makes this paintball game variation fun, interesting, and exciting is that the games are fast, with two teams always trying to beat the clock to score a flag, and it is also a game of the mind. Often, battles can be won even before a shot has been fired. IF you can course another team to bid on a time so high that it would be nearly impossible for them to defend a flag, then you have put your team in a very favorable position even fore the Gamemaster has called Game On! Another way to win future games is to have success in previous games. If your teammates are good enough ending games early for defending teams, then they will be likely to bid much lower in the future, giving your team a chance to come out with a winning bid that has a manageable time. Before we look further at game tactics, let us review the rules of the game and the point system.
A Game of Hold That Flag! starts out with 3 teams, and three captains that represent each team in the bidding process. The bid in this game is the time in minutes a team says that they will be able to guard a flag station. In the process, one team bids after another, and each successive bidder must bid higher or say "Yeah, let's see you Hold That Flag!" Then the game begins, and bid winning team must try to defend the flag station for as long as the number of minutes of their winning bid. If the defending team is successful, then they will earn to points in that round. If any player from of the two attacking teams touches the flag, then both attacking teams earn one point for that round.

Winning these games I not about being the most talented team, since no defending team will be able to hold out for that long when they are outnumbered two to one. The winning teams tend to only pick manageable bids and to psycho out opponents into selecting ridiculously high bids.
Offensive Tactics - Generally, both attacking teams work together towards breaching the opponent's defense since it is in both of their best interests to win the game. Since the offense usually has a limited time to achieve their objective, they should be prepared to work quickly as soon as they hear the Go! When you are waiting for the Go! Signal, you should already thinking about how you are going to push toward the flag. Generally, it is best to go for the weakest point in the opponent's defense. Picking off players one by one is a winning tactic in other games but is often too time consuming in these games. Generally, winning teams pick the weakest point in the opponent's defense and make a pretty hard charge toward the flag. Making a hard charge does not have to be a reckless abandon Banzaii charge, but it is continuous with very little stopping or prolonged lingering behind bunkers. The action in these games is pretty active and continuous, and there will be many eliminations before the end of the round.
