Attack & Defend - Paintball Games
Attack and Defend games are interesting because they involve two teams, where one of the teams is allowed free range of the field, while the other team is confined to an area that they must defend. In these games, one team is the attacking team, and one is the defending team. The defending team must prevent the attacking team from getting through their line of defense, and accomplishing an objective in the defensive zone. One common objective is making it to the flag station in the defensive zone, and hanging the attack teams flag. Another common objective is shooting an object inside the defensive zone.
The Game Rules/Procedure
Most attack and defense games are ten minutes in length. The game features two teams of equal strength, one team the attackers, and the other team, its defenders. The defending team is relegated to a defendable area for defending. Some popular areas for defending include a fort, ghost town, or castle, some structure that involves walls and levels, and maybe even a flag station. The defending team begins the game in and around the flag station. The attacking team begins the game out of side and range of the defense fort. The defending team must stay in the defensive zone, or around the flag station, while the attacking team may attack from any area of the paintball field. There are variations of the objective of getting into the defensive zone, and performing some objective there. Some common objectives include pulling the enemy flag off the pole, and raising the attacking team flag, a shooting at some type of object within the defensive zone. The objective of the defending team is always to help the attackers out of the defensive zone, and to keep the attacking team to accomplished an objective in the defensive zone.

In addition to attack and defend, there are a number of other popular paintball games to play. One popular game is blackjack. In the game blackjack, two teams of equal strength start the game from two starting areas, near two flag stations. Like capture the flag, both teams begin the game from two sides of the field, with the hope of carrying the home team's flag across the field and hanging it in the opposing team flag station. One twist to this game is that each player is only allowed 21 paintballs to start the match, and he is not allowed any more when he runs on empty. A player on empty is not allowed to borrow paintballs from another teammate. Most blackjack games run about 30 minutes. Players who run out of paintball must leave the fields immediately.
